Volume 1 of Ezekiel's Story - The Whirlwind PDF Author: Robert Fodge

ISBN: 1329929926
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 481

Book Description
The book of Ezekiel contains unique information about God's chosen people. The whole scope of God's love, sovereignty, power, omniscience, righteousness, mercy, anger, wrath and judgment towards saved, but rebellious people is revealed. God's treatment of His chosen people is a model of the way that He treats with saved, but rebellious individuals. In 1 Pet 4:17-18, Peter said, "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" Ezekiel's story of the whirlwind is the account of the reason for God's judgment of the nation of Israel, and corresponds perfectly with Peter's statement that "judgment must begin at the house of God." That nation was outwardly committed to God. They maintained that they trusted in God but they were guilty of being like neighboring nations.

Book Description
This book is a verse by verse commentary of Ezekiel 26:1-39:29 (14 chapters) and consists of three major sections. Eze 26-28 is a story of the judgment of a worldwide commercial enterprise that controlled and enslaved individuals as well as nations. It was operated by leaders of the city of Tyrus. This was an international body that was in operation at the time that God's judgment of the nation of Israel started. The 2nd section (Eze 29-32) concentrates on God's judgment of Egypt, a formidable enemy of the nation of Israel. Seven major prophecies are presented to establish that God will judge not only Israel, but has or will judge Gentile nations of the world for their sins. Eze 33-39 is the focus of God's attention. The elements of God's actions to the reverse the effects of Israel's iniquity will end with a remnant of Israel being restored to their favored status with God.

The Millennial Sanctuary

The Millennial Sanctuary PDF Author: Robert Fodge
Publisher: Lulu.com
ISBN: 1329707133
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 152

Book Description
This book is primarily concerned with describing the Millennial Sanctuary using scaled drawings to show its physical size and shape. One hundred illustrations and commentary are presented as the result of the author's analysis and synthesis of the book of Ezekiel using scripture contained in the King James Authorized Version of the Bible. The sanctuary was measured by an individual selected by the Lord, specifically, "a man...with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed," Eze 40:3. Ezekiel was commanded to "behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears...all that I shall show thee," Eze 40:4. Furthermore, in the same verse, he was to "declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel." The "man with the line of flax...and a measuring reed" then proceeded to make more than 160 measurements of items related to the sanctuary. This is more measurements than for any other object recorded in the Bible, including God's sanctuary in the wilderness, commonly referred to as the Tabernacle.

The Book of Ezekiel, Chapters 25–48

The Book of Ezekiel, Chapters 25–48 PDF Author: Daniel I. Block
Publisher: Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing
ISBN: 1467423718
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 905

Book Description
This work completes Daniel Block's two-volume commentary on the book of Ezekiel. The result of twelve years of studying this difficult section of Scripture, this volume, like the one on chapters 1-24, provides an excellent discussion of the background of Ezekiel and offers a verse-by-verse exposition that makes clear the message of this obscure and often misunderstood prophet. Block also shows that Ezekiel's ancient wisdom and vision are still very much needed as we enter the twenty-first century.

Book Description
Are these the last days? Could Jesus return at any time to establish his thousand-year reign on earth? What is the nature of Christ's millennial kingdom referred to in the book of Revelation? What must happen before Jesus returns, and what part does the church play? Three predominant views held by evangelicals seek to answer these and related questions: premillennial, postmillennial, and amillennial. This book gives each view a forum for presentation, critique, and defense. Besides each contributor's personal perspective, various interpretations of the different positions are discussed in the essays. Three Views on the Millennium and Beyond lets you compare and contrast three important eschatological viewpoints to gain a better understanding of how Christianity's great hope, the return of Jesus, is understood by the church. The Counterpoints series provides a forum for comparison and critique of different views on issues important to Christians. Counterpoints books address two categories: Church Life and Bible and Theology. Complete your library with other books in the Counterpoints series.

Ezekiel's Temple

Ezekiel's Temple PDF Author: Emil Heller Henning, III
Publisher: Xulon Press
ISBN: 9781626975132
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 92

Book Description
EZEKIEL'S TEMPLE A Scriptural Framework Illustrating THE Covenant of Grace Bible readers have long pondered the complicated Temple vision in Ezekiel's last nine chapters. In an attempt to explain why this vision is in the Bible, this study focuses especially on what the prophet was explicitly told to show Israel-the Temple's "design," "plan," or "layout," and in particular its "exits and entrances" (Ezek. 43:11). In these pages, a practicing professional architect who has pondered the Temple for some five decades shows how Ezekiel's mysterious "plan," with its complex system of "exits and entrances," presents in symbolic forms a stunning visual portrait of God's eternal Covenant with Israel and-through that-the work of Messiah. Emil Heller Henning III was born in Boston in 1946, educated in the Baltimore Public Schools, and holds A.B. and Master of Architecture degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. He worked one summer in graduate school for a Boston firm that pioneered "wayfinding" concepts to help people navigate subway systems and sprawling building complexes. While there he assisted in the design of orientation maps and signs for a campus of over 100 interconnected buildings. For three years he was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, after which he worked for architecture firms in North and South Carolina. He is today a Registered Architect in South Carolina, where he has a small architectural practice and serves as a Ruling Elder at Second Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Greenville, S.C.
