Book Description
A memoir of Robert Hamill Nassau's experiences as a missionary and educator in Africa in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Nassau provides vivid descriptions of the customs, beliefs, and daily life of the people he encountered, as well as reflections on the challenges and rewards of cross-cultural communication. With humor and compassion, he brings to life a world that is at once distant and familiar, and offers insights into the ongoing legacy of colonialism and imperialism.
