Traversing the Last Days

Traversing the Last Days PDF Author: Tim Faulkner
Publisher: WestBow Press
ISBN: 1449737609
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 156

Book Description
This book is intended to present a fresh perspective on Biblical Prophecy from a slightly different angle. Sometimes clarity can come from a most unlikely direction. The Bible is the most amazing book because it is the primary source for knowing and understanding God’s will and plans from the past and for the present and future. We are living in a world of incredible, rapid change and many Christians and Non-Christians alike are looking for clarity and understanding about the second coming of Jesus Christ. This book will help you sort out some of the details, challenge you to seek God’s will, help you interpret the times, and see God at work in this very day. At the very heart of this effort is hope: the hope that we find in a personal relationship with Jesus that comes from knowing and participating in God’s plans, and the hope that a brighter day is coming to a world that can often seem hopeless. Christians are called to be ready, alert, and aware of the signs that will help us to know when Jesus will return to earth. If there was ever a time to get our bearings, it is now.

The Arguments of Aquinas

The Arguments of Aquinas PDF Author: J.J. MacIntosh
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 135173377X
Category : Philosophy
Languages : en
Pages : 306

Book Description
The Arguments of Aquinas is intended for readers with philosophical interests, who may not be specialists in medieval philosophy. Some think that a medieval saint must be, as such, wrong, dated, and boring; others feel that a saint, any saint, must be right, relevant, and inspirational. Both groups are likely to misread Aquinas, if indeed they read him at all. The works of great philosophers are products of their times, but that does not lessen their value for us. We profit by reading the works of St Thomas in the same interested but critical way that we read the works of our contemporaries. MacIntosh does not hesitated to compare Thomas's arguments with those of later philosophers as well as with those of his contemporaries and earlier philosophers. He chooses topics from a variety of still interesting problem areas: the existence and attributes of God, including God's foreknowledge and human free will, causality and the origin of the universe, time and necessity, human souls, angels, and the problem of evil. Additionally, the volume looks at his views on honesty and lying, and on human sexuality, on which he is, as ever, philosophically interesting whether or not we accept his conclusions.

Book Description
An Upright Vessel, Black and Without Any Shine, Shrouded in Heavy Vapor. On the brink of war, Kai and four others find themselves held captive by a vessel that reveals little about itself. With their homes still ablaze, they’re helpless to alter its trajectory while they pursue an unknown destination. Upon inexplicably reversing course, they’re left with more questions than answers. As its engines finally wind down, everyone aboard grows eager to escape the cabin and breathe the outside air. But when the hatch refuses to unseal, the anxious passengers must make an important decision: stay inside the ship, or force their way out. Only one man aboard understands the vessel’s full protocol—a man who hasn't spoken since their journey began. Kai and the others soon discover that the world they once knew, a shining beacon of life and prosperity, is forever transformed. "Every bit as exciting and well-crafted as the first...A brutal joyride." -Heather Sharfeddin, Sweetwater Burning Traverse is the second book in The Schema Trilogy by Avery Dox.
