What amazing things we can all accomplish when we feel confident to be the "who" that we are inside, without judgement or fear! And share with each other the love within ourselves too! By being ourselves and embracing love, we bring forth our light to shine into this world. We become everything we want to be, and more. Simultaneously we begin to see that the feelings, experiences, and dreams we have are shared with others too. And when we realize these similarities in each other we begin to notice how we are all connected through them and through love. CYNTHIA CARLA has a deep respect for all life, and the unified love we all share with each other. Cynthia wrote The Who That I Am when she took time to sit with her inner light and allow the uniqueness that is within her to shine. She hopes this book will give love and comfort to each soul (child and adult) who reads it. With a universal meaning of loving ourselves and each other, this book also comes with some of the verses that may have additional meanings. Cynthia's wish is that these pages become a fun and educational tool to discuss the meaning behind the words. For example, what does it mean to feel "round" or "flat"? What emotions do you relate with these words? When would someone feel these emotions and how can we support each other? It's not just for young children. Even adults can learn a lot from simple questions like these. What a wonderful world we can share when we live with love and communication! Cynthia lives alongside the ocean and her wildlife friends with her fun and loving fur-babies and husband. She sends all her love to each and every one of you! Shine bright, shine through, with love. Who Do You Say That I Am? PDF Author: Calvin E. Shenk
Publisher: Wipf and Stock Publishers
ISBN: 1597526231
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 295

Book Description
Out of long involvement with adherents of many religions, Shenk dares to assert that one can be profoundly respectful of people of other faith traditions and still retain the integrity of one's own faith. -- from the Foreword by Wilbert R. Shenk Can we respect other religions and still view Christ as normative for all? Yes, says Calvin Shenk, Professor Emeritus of Religion at Eastern Mennonite University. How? Answers are not simple. However, biblical perspectives on religions provide reliable starting points for the journey. And placing Christ at the center of the quest yields clarity amid complexity. For Christians, candid commitment to the uniqueness of Christ is to be accomplished by the integrity of Christ. This leads to loving witness that includes truly dialoguing with persons committed to other religions. 'Who Do You Say That I Am?' assesses contemporary theologies of religious pluralism as well as several of the world's major religions, yet remains accessible to all thoughtful Christians.

AN ELLE MAGAZINE BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR AN O, THE OPRAH MAGAZINE MUST-READ LGBTQ BOOK OF THE YEAR AN ELECTRIC LIT BEST SHORT STORY COLLECTION OF THE YEAR A GRINDR QUEER BOOK OF THE YEAR A THE ADVOCATE LGBT+ Book You Absolutely Need to Read "Riveting… Every lie reveals itself so exquisitely that the parallels become an added pleasure, as soon as we uncover the ways they diverge." —New York Times Book Review "Dazzling. Here is a confident, psychologically astute new writer with a bold new vision." —Garrard Conley, New York Times bestselling author of Boy Erased Throughout this striking debut collection we meet characters who have lied, who have sometimes created elaborate falsehoods, and who now must cope with the way that those deceptions eat at the very fabric of their lives and relationships. In the title story, the narrator, desperate to save a love affair on the rocks, hires an actor to play a friend he invented in order to seem less lonely, after his boyfriend catches on to his compulsion for lying and demands to know this friend is real; in "Aim for the Heart," a man's lies about a hunting habit leave him with an unexpected deer carcass and the need to parse unsettling high school memories; in "Rorschach," a theater producer runs a show in which death row inmates are crucified in an on-stage rendering of the New Testament, while being haunted daily by an unrequited love and nightly by ghosts of his own creation. In I Know You Know Who I Am, Kispert deftly explores deception and performance, the uneasiness of reconciling a queer identity with the wider world, and creates a sympathetic, often darkly humorous, portrait of characters searching for paths to intimacy.

Who Am I Now That I Am Alone? A Journey Back after Divorce or Death

Who Am I Now That I Am Alone? A Journey Back after Divorce or Death PDF Author: James L Ramsey
Publisher: First Edition Design Pub.
ISBN: 1622876970
Category : Family & Relationships
Languages : en
Pages : 47

Book Description
The "Who Am I Now That I Am Alone?" program began after my divorce. I gathered others who had experienced divorce into a group to explore our situation and how we could move forward with our lives. This group became one of the first in the country to help people going through divorce, remember in the 70's there still was not a great deal of acceptance of divorce in the culture. Hundreds of people have experienced the program that was developed after the first group and have found it very helpful. Over the years people have asked to read the book, but it was a group process guide and not a narrative. This book translates most of the program's material, which was designed for group interaction, into a format that will allow those who have experienced loss through divorce or death to benefit from the program on their own. Chapters 1-3 concern communication, including communicating and understanding feelings. We can only develop meaningful relationships through effective communication. These chapters also work on improving both interpersonal communication skills and your internal (self-talk) communication. Chapters 4-6 focus on understanding the importance of personal relationships in our lives, guiding readers to move out and expand and deepen supportive relationships. These are important skills for enriching the quality of anyone's life. Finally, Chapters 7-8 are designed to help readers develop a more positive personal identity. Many people come out of a divorce or the loss of a relationship feeling like a failure and somewhat worthless. These chapters reintroduce readers to their authentic selves. Your authentic self has so many good qualities which, when recognized and affirmed, will offset the feelings of guilt and failure. This change in perspective will bring the motivation to leave the past behind and build a new and exciting life. CONTENTS Introduction Chapter 1 Some Understandings about Divorce Chapter 2 How to Effectively Communicate Your Feelings Chapter 3 Understanding Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Communications Chapter 4 The Continuing Question: Who Am I Now That I Am Alone? Chapter 5 Expanding Friendships for Balance in Life Chapter 6 The Need for Community Chapter 7 Getting in Touch with Your Successes Chapter 8 Taking the New You into the World About the Author - James Ramsey's career has been divided into three very interesting segments. The first part of his career he served as a United Methodist Minister in Southern California, where he served three churches. The second part as a corporate trainer working for organizations like Northrop Aircraft, Fluor Corporation and the Orange County Transit District, and the last segment as a human resources director where he completed his full time work at Family Solutions an organization that worked with at risk children. Jim has also taught speech communications at several community colleges. Currently he is an independent human resource consultant for a nonprofit and also works part time in a local library. He has a Bachelor's degree in Social Science and Master of Divinity degree. During the 1970's while going through a divorce he gathered a group of people who were also going through divorce for weekly sessions and these sessions later were refined and became his divorce recovery program "Who Am I Now That I Am Alone?" This program has been delivered to hundreds of people over the years. Jim, with the assistance of other professionals, also conducted training programs to develop more leaders to deliver the program. Who Am I?

Who Am I? PDF Author: Tony
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 1483653986
Category : Biography & Autobiography
Languages : en
Pages : 221

Book Description
This book was written during some of the most intense, compounding, and suffering moments that I experienced. What is meant literally to be head pounding and raging emotional cycles of extreme bliss to chaos and back. This book is a creation through me of that nature and the strength for which is preserved within it. It is a story of survival, knowledge, and wisdom. An expression of the catacomb of life force that is also the representation of us all, not as a tomb, but as a vault of knowledge, experiences, and wisdom built on the ages of human existence from the beginning to the end. I want you all to know that in the end, I found gratitude for the experience even though the vortex was the most horrifying place to go. Many have suffered its fate to a dismal ending of suicide, yet I am a survivor, one who has converted its negative energies to the positive force. This force that is passed from one to another, looking to focus in, had found itself challenged by my own wit, desires, and struggles to find the truth. The knowledge of its existence and the beholder of its cycle should be known by all of us so that it can be nourished for the good of humanity, not the control of them. The Satanist views of the days past have been inverted for the enlightenment has taken hold and will endure for the future existence of humanity. My experience was like the Manchurian candidate 7 billion fold. God bless him who has the strength to withstand this vortex in the next cycle. God bless you all.
