Languages : en
Pages : 156

Book Description
So often in the Christian community we hear the question, What do we need to do to reach the unreached? While this appears to be a good question, perhaps its the wrong question. Instead of focusing on what might be best practices, our answers tend to revolve around what are best practices for us. The better question is, How can the unreached be reached? This takes us out of the center of the story and seeks to find the best methods and means to reach those who need to clearly hear the good news of Gods grace.

Transformed

Transformed PDF Author: Caesar Kalinowski
Publisher: Zondervan
ISBN: 0310333504
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 179

Book Description
What if Christianity were less about doing and more about being? In Transformed, author Caesar Kalinowski shows you that when you became a Christian everything about you changed in an instant. You received a new identity based on who Jesus is, not on who you were. As a believer, you literally become part of God’s family of missionary servants. This is who you are—not what you do. Drawing on stories from Caesar’s own journey and life in community, Transformed looks realistically at the identity you have been given in Christ and how it reshapes everything about you. Set free from performance-driven spirituality and guilt, you will draw closer to God, allowing him to radically change the well-worn rhythms and patterns of your every day life and transform your relationships from the inside out. Transformed is for those who yearn for a deeper, more authentic faith, one that empowers you to live out of the truth of who God now says you are. “Caesar Kalinowski is such a wise teacher. Finally, a book on the Christian experience that actually leads its readers towards a new way of living. Transformed is a book that every skeptic, seeker, and Christian should read.” —Jen Hatmaker, Author of 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess "If there was ever a legitimate time to offer a new pathway for being a Christ-follower it is now. Thank you Caesar for blowing the dust off of the relics of religious life and opening up the window to a God-breathed life." —Hugh Halter, Author of FLESH, The Tangible Kingdom, & Sacrilege

Different

Different PDF Author: Sally Clarkson
Publisher: NavPress
ISBN: 1496420144
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 257

Book Description
Nathan was different and Sally knew it. From his early childhood, Nathan was bursting with creativity and uncontainable energy, struggling not only with learning issues but also with anxiety and OCD. He saw the world through his own unique lens—one that often caused him to be labeled as “bad,” “troubled,” or someone in need of “fixing.” Bravely choosing to listen to her motherly intuition rather than the loud voices of the world, Sally dared to believe that Nathan’s differences could be part of an intentional design from a loving Creator with a plan for his life. She trusted that the things that made him different were the very things that could make him great. Join Sally and Nathan as they share their stories from a personal perspective as mother and son. If you are in need of help and hope in your own journey with an outside-the-box child, or if you’re an adult trying to make sense of your differences, you’ll find deep insight, resonance, and encouragement in the pages of this book. Dare to love and nurture the “different” one in your life.

Accountability to God

Accountability to God PDF Author: Andrew B. Torrance
Publisher: Oxford University Press
ISBN: 019887393X
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 233

Book Description
The word 'accountability' is often used without much thought being given to what precisely it means. It is especially common in Christian circles, where there is frequent talk about being accountable to God, yet, still, without a clear grasp of this word. Accountability to God proposes, develops, and analyses two concepts of accountability as both a condition and a virtue. It also engineers these concepts to make them particularly apt for thinking about (1) accountability to God and (2) other relationships of accountability that exist under God. In its first part, the book builds a theological and general case for its particular views of accountability. In its second, it engages in the constructive work of developing a theology of accountability in relation to the doctrines of the Trinity, participation in Christ, the Fall, the fear of God, reconciliation, baptism, repentance, faith, and conversion. In developing this theology, Torrance interacts with a number of major theologians, such as the Apostle Paul, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Karl Barth. He also extensively engages with contemporary work in analytic philosophy, systematic theology (including analytic theology), biblical studies, and psychology. By bringing a diverse range of scholarship into discussion, Accountability to God is the first book to focus specifically on what it means to be accountable to God. It thereby proposes a more positive, constructive, and theologically apt way to think about accountability.
