Since 1919 more than a hundred reports of the work have been printed in various journals and in Bureau publications. It was their opinion that a work which should furnish a full account of the chemical principles involved in the various organic changes originating in the mouth, and of the behavior of the metals and other materials used in the workroom, was very much needed by their profession.
