A year later he applied for a land grant in St. Jones County, present day Kent County, Delaware. He and his wife Joanna (d. after 1697) were parents of four children: 1. Robert (1676-1748); 2. Ellinor (1679-bef. 1732); 3. John (b. 1681) and 4. Susannah (b. 1684). Descendants live in Delaware, Maryland, Missouri and elsewhere.
