Meet the O’Cairnnon’s — a fate most do not survive... A seemingly harmless paranormal investigation sparks a series of haunting events that ultimately sends an international team of supernatural investigators to Ireland and to one of the most haunted destinations in all of Europe… Castle Cairnnon. A saga sweeping several generations of characters, in an unsettling and at times horrific tale with many twists and turns, and a stunning conclusion you won’t see coming. Travel Through Time and Unravel the Mystery of Cairnnon Castle Please note: Though this collection of short stories is predominantly dark erotic paranormal—at times verging on horror—it runs the gamut in sub-genre cross-overs and eras—from contemporary to historical time-travel, and back again. The series also incorporates both m/f and m/m couplings, plus scenes with multi-partner interaction, m/m/m and m/f/f Bundle Contains: Meet Me in the Dark Book 1 Dark Foursome Book 2 The Fall of Cairnnon Castle Book 3

Mississippian Culture Heroes, Ritual Regalia, and Sacred Bundles
Author: David H. Dye
Publisher: Rowman & Littlefield
ISBN: 1793650608
Category : Social Science
Languages : en
Pages : 387
Book Description
In Mississippian Culture Heroes, Ritual Regalia, and Sacred Bundles, archaeologists analyze evidence of the religious beliefs and ritual practices of Mississippian people through the lens of indigenous ontologies and material culture. Employing archaeological, ethnographic, and ethnohistoric evidence, the contributors explore the recent emphasis on iconography as an important component for interpreting eastern North America’s ancient past. The research in this volume emphasizes the animistic nature of animals and objects, erasing the false divide between people and other-than-human beings. Drawing on an array of empirical approaches, the contributors demonstrate the importance of understanding beliefs and ritual and the significance of investigating how people in the past practiced religion and ritual by crafting, circulating, using, and ultimately decommissioning material items and spaces, including ceramic effigies, rock art, sacred bundles, shell gorgets, stone figurines, and symbolic weaponry.

An Archive of Possibilities
Author: Rachel Marie Niehuus
Publisher: Duke University Press
ISBN: 1478027886
Category : Social Science
Languages : en
Pages : 138
Book Description
In An Archive of Possibilities, anthropologist and surgeon Rachel Marie Niehuus explores possibilities of healing and repair in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo against a backdrop of 250 years of Black displacement, enslavement, death, and chronic war. Niehuus argues that in a context in which violence characterizes everyday life, Congolese have developed innovative and imaginative ways to live amid and mend from repetitive harm. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork and the Black critical theory of Achille Mbembe, Christina Sharpe, Alexis Pauline Gumbs and others, Niehuus explores the renegotiation of relationships with land as a form of public healing, the affective experience of living in insecurity, the hospital as a site for the socialization of pain, the possibility of necropolitical healing, and the uses of prophesy to create collective futures. By considering the radical nature of cohabitating with violence, Niehuus demonstrates that Congolese practices of healing imagine and articulate alternative ways of living in a global regime of antiblackness.
