Synthesis of Adequate Mathematical Descriptions of Physical Processes

Synthesis of Adequate Mathematical Descriptions of Physical Processes PDF Author: Yurii Menshykov
Publisher: Cambridge Scholars Publishing
ISBN: 1527557979
Category : Mathematics
Languages : en
Pages : 166

Book Description
For effective use of the results of computational calculations, it is necessary that the computational schemes used correspond to real physical processes, so that the schemes are adequate. The issue of adequacy is currently poorly understood and there are also no generally accepted criteria of adequacy. This book is the first to address the questions of constructing adequate mathematical descriptions of physical processes and their reasonable use in the future for various purposes. It proposes two adequacy criteria (quantitative and qualitative), and describes several possible algorithms for synthesis of cases when the physical process is composed of a system of ordinary differential equations or a mathematical model in algebraic form. The algorithms described here will be useful for specialists in areas where methods of mathematical modeling are used, such as mechanics.

Computational Models in Engineering

Computational Models in Engineering PDF Author: Konstantin Volkov
Publisher: BoD – Books on Demand
ISBN: 1789238692
Category : Computers
Languages : en
Pages : 148

Book Description
The accurate prediction of multi-physical and multi-scale physical/chemical/mechanical processes in engineering remains a challenging problem despite considerable work in this area and the acceptance of finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics as design tools. This book intends to provide the reader with an overview of the latest developments in computational techniques used in various engineering disciplines. The book includes leading-edge scientific contributions of computational and applied mathematics, computer science and engineering focusing on the modelling and simulation of complex engineering systems and multi-physical/multi-scale engineering problems. The following topics are covered: numerical analysis and algorithms, software development, coupled analysis, multi-criteria optimization as they applied to all kinds of applied and emerging problems in energy systems, additive manufacturing, propulsion systems, and thermal engineering.

Time and Consistent Relativity

Time and Consistent Relativity PDF Author: Lyubomir T. Gruyitch
Publisher: CRC Press
ISBN: 1498722245
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 571

Book Description
Time and Consistent Relativity: Physical and Mathematical Fundamentals establishes a new and original theory of time relativity, which is fully consistent. It explains why Einstein's theory of time relativity is physically meaningless and mathematically based on tacit inacceptable assumptions, and why it represents the singular case from the mathem

Stochastic Methods and their Applications to Communications

Stochastic Methods and their Applications to Communications PDF Author: Serguei Primak
Publisher: John Wiley & Sons
ISBN: 0470021179
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 446

Book Description
Stochastic Methods & their Applications to Communications presents a valuable approach to the modelling, synthesis and numerical simulation of random processes with applications in communications and related fields. The authors provide a detailed account of random processes from an engineering point of view and illustrate the concepts with examples taken from the communications area. The discussions mainly focus on the analysis and synthesis of Markov models of random processes as applied to modelling such phenomena as interference and fading in communications. Encompassing both theory and practice, this original text provides a unified approach to the analysis and generation of continuous, impulsive and mixed random processes based on the Fokker-Planck equation for Markov processes. Presents the cumulated analysis of Markov processes Offers a SDE (Stochastic Differential Equations) approach to the generation of random processes with specified characteristics Includes the modelling of communication channels and interfer ences using SDE Features new results and techniques for the of solution of the generalized Fokker-Planck equation Essential reading for researchers, engineers, and graduate and upper year undergraduate students in the field of communications, signal processing, control, physics and other areas of science, this reference will have wide ranging appeal.
