Spiritual CPR

Book Description
If you could bring life to someone who was dead or dying, would you? There are many books that explain "how" to share faith and other books tell us "what" to share with people--but few books explore the "why." What the church needs is a compelling "why" to get out of their comfort zone and change the world with the gospel. The church, for centuries, has used Matthew 28:19-20, "Go and make disciples...baptize...and teach..." as the clarion call of the church to tell the world about Jesus. "Christians, as a community, seem not to know the 'why' of evangelism. They see evangelism as just digging another hole. They are not told that each thrust of the shovel digs deeper into a ground soaked with an eternal water; an eternal well-spring of true life for the non-believer and a virtual fountain of youth for the believer who shares his faith. The purpose of this book is to show that there is an inescapable connection between those who share their faith and those who experience complete joy. Spiritual CPR will help Christians realize that the sharing of their faith produces a spiritually abundant life.

Pages : 440

Book Description
Humanity must have food and drink each day in order to survival. Humanity must pause for a time of rest each day in order to maintain the strength to perform the task of the following day. Humanity must enter into some type of relationship with another person each day unless he began to feel isolated and inferior. Just as the physical and psychological aspects of man must have certain needs met each day, so must the spirit of man. We may go with the fl ow for awhile, but deep within the confi des of humanity is the soul. And that soul must experience and enjoy a renewal. Such renewal is found in a daily relationship with the Creator of life. Man must pause from his daily routine and purposefully focus on the Word of God which in turn will enrich, encourage and enable him to face each circumstance and condition that a days activities may confront him. The Bible declares, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 4):31 KJV). Within the pages of this daily devotional, you will fi nd strength, stability and satisfaction awaiting you each step of every day.

All Things Spiritual

All Things Spiritual PDF Author: Phillip Eldridge Williams
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 166980254X
Category : Self-Help
Languages : en
Pages : 602

Book Description
This short quip referred to in conversation and seen often in descriptive writing as well as various and sundry speeches is in reality on shaky ground when taken apart. The truth has been the object of the search of man since he became serious with his ontology from earliest recorded history and finds its way in most academic institutions with each Latin phrase in its logo. Matter has always been taken for granted but until recently (1939) with the declaration of the Physicists community in Copenhagen, Denmark has acknowledged that indeed there is no final field theory for locating reality. In this book I will attempt to speak to this lack of reality by delving into the state of being, or lack thereof, I will refer to as spirituality and the Native American priority given to the Great Spirit and the answer they give to one's ontology (why one is here) known as their vision quest. We will investigate spirituality as that encounter we all must deal with in our religious medium for finding some sense of meaning and its answer to our need for respect. I'll look at the Judeo/Christian offering of the image of God and the spooky-goings-on-at-a-distance stipulated by Albert Einstein as well as the implications of Galileo's insightful declaration in the 17th century that all meaning begins with experience (spirituality) and ends with experience, that spirituality is all that there is and to offer proposals based upon purely logic alone is meaningless as regards reality. Spirituality in the best sense of the word is your taking serious your honor as well as that of others. This could be seen as the First and Greatest Commandment and the Second like unto it Thy neighbor as thyself. This work is the culmination of 15 years of writing and a lifetime of seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness having all these things being added unto me. (Matthew 6:33) Now to have all these things added unto you is to be quickened with eyes to see and ears to hear things/matter as they are and not from the might-makes-right syndrome or the what’s-in-it-for-me modus operandi. This quickening power is the mighty-hand-of-God as opposed to the hand-of-God revealing the nature of truth, God's righteousness as being no respecter of persons, time, place or thing and doing so unconditionally. This is indeed the Final Field or the Truth of the Matter.

Book Description
Traditional Western religion explains that each human has a spiritual aspect called a soul. However, several passages in the Bible allude to humans having a soul and a spirit. Dan has explored this idea and found numerous modern psychological findings that support this notion. Shamanism and some Eastern religious concepts also support this idea. Diverse concepts such as creativity and mental illness can be explained by the idea that two spiritual forms are in each human.
