William Fetters (1794-1857) was born in Waterford Tp., Gloucester Co., New Jersey, the younger of two sons of William and Ann Madera Fetters. When his was about ten years old, his family moved to Blockley Tp., Philadelphia Co., Pa. He married Mary B. Leech (1792-1870), daughter of Maximilian and Elizabeth Hayes Leech, 1819. Mary was born near the William Young burying ground in Kingsessing Tp., near Blockley Tp. line, Pa. In the late 1820's William and Mary and their four children moved west. In the 1830 Federal Census they are residing in Butler Tp., Columbiana Co., Ohio. John Webb (c1754-1824), the son of James and Mary Hurford Webb, and his children removed from Harford Co., Maryland to Columbiana Co., Ohio in 1802, shortly after the death of his first wife, Elizabeth Montgomery. John Webb married (2) Leah Morris in 1817.
