Book Description
This is my 3rd book that I am proud to share with everyone. My writings have taken me now over a span of more than 40 years. I would hope that my name and writings will have a good impact on people and that they enjoy my way of expressing and look forward to what I will be writing next. Yes, I would Love to make the Best Seller List, as any writer would. But, my passion is to be able to provide good reading to my readers. Hopefully someone will benefit by what I have shared, and what I have experienced, and what I have been feeling. So that one other person will no longer feel alone or isolated in the way they feel or what they have experienced. I myself can still come up with some crazy stuff. I like to share, the good, the bad, and the ugly, because that is life. I am working on book 4 now, A New Dawn Rising, which I hope will be out before the end of the year. I hope that all will be looking forward to the release of this book. I also hope that all those that have read the previous books, Too Many Stones To Throw and Reality Continued, will enjoy this one Sharing Is Caring and share them with friends and family. Welcome again to my world, and my style of writing and sharing. Blessings and Peace be to you all...Enjoy!

Sharing Is Caring: The Impact of Person-Organisation Fit on Knowledge Sharing in High-Technology Firms, and the Moderating Role of Internal and External Recruitment
Author: Sabina Dörner
Publisher: GRIN Verlag
ISBN: 3346608123
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 10
Book Description
Literature Review from the year 2021 in the subject Leadership and Human Resource Management - Miscellaneous, grade: 2,0, Maastricht University, language: English, abstract: This literature review investigates the impact of person-organization fit on knowledge sharing in high-technology firms and whether the relationship is moderated by internal and external recruitment. High-technology firms are depending on the skills and know-how of their human resources to outperform their competitors in dynamic industries. However, knowledge workers in high-technology firms regard their knowledge as their main capital, providing them with power and security. This discourages knowledge sharing at the expense of firm performance. Fostering person-organization fit through HR practices that meet the employees’ needs and interests increases employee commitment and motivates them to engage in activities that contribute to achieving the firm’s strategic goals, such as exchanging and creating knowledge. By hiring candidates that fit with the company, high-technology firms can ensure P-O fit and thus facilitate knowledge sharing. To promote a good fit with the company, high-technology firms should fill positions through internal mobility rather than external hiring. Internal recruitment provides more valuable information about the candidates who already have prior experience in the company. It also creates a commitment-based environment of trust and cooperation, allowing employees to be open and share knowledge with each other. Moreover, high-technology firms must develop a mindset shared by employees and the organization, which entails the employees’ understanding of how they can contribute to the achievement of the organizational objectives. HR practices can create a common mindset that values and embraces the exchange and creation of knowledge. To increase the motivation for sharing knowledge, high-technology firms can introduce a team-based incentive system that rewards the sharing of useful information. Overall, high-technology firms can facilitate knowledge sharing by implementing HR practices that promote the fit between person and organisation, including internal selection practices, to gain a long-term competitive advantage from their employees’ knowledge.

The Age of Sharing
Author: Nicholas A. John
Publisher: John Wiley & Sons
ISBN: 1509512276
Category : Language Arts & Disciplines
Languages : en
Pages : 214
Book Description
Sharing is central to how we live today: it is what we do online; it is a model of economic behaviour; and it is also a type of therapeutic talk. Sharing embodies positive values such as empathy, communication, fairness, openness and equality. The Age of Sharing shows how and when sharing became caring, and explains how its meanings have changed in the digital age. But the word sharing also camouflages commercial or even exploitative relations. Websites say they share data with advertisers, although in reality they sell it, while parts of the sharing economy look a great deal like rental services. Ultimately, it is argued, practices described as sharing and critiques of those practices have common roots. Consequently, the metaphor of sharing now constructs significant swathes of our social practices and provides the grounds for critiquing them; it is a mode of participation in the capitalist order as well as a way of resisting it. Drawing on nineteenth-century literature, Alcoholics Anonymous, the American counterculture, reality TV, hackers, Airbnb, Facebook and more, The Age of Sharing offers a rich account of a complex contemporary keyword. It will appeal to students and scholars of the internet, digital culture and linguistics.

Collective Action 2.0
Author: Shaked Spier
Publisher: Chandos Publishing
ISBN: 0081005792
Category : Language Arts & Disciplines
Languages : en
Pages : 200
Book Description
Collective Action 2.0 explores the issues related to information and communication technologies (ICTs) in detail, providing a balanced insight into how ICTs leverage and interact with collective action, which will have an impact on the current discourse. Recent events in different authoritarian regimes, such as Iran and Egypt, have drawn global attention to a developing phenomenon in collective action: People tend to organize through different social media platforms for political protest and resistance. This phenomenon describes a change in social structure and behavior tied to ICT. Social media platforms have been used to leverage collective action, which has in some cases arguably lead, to political revolution. The phenomenon also indicates that the way information is organized affects the organization of social structures with which it interoperates. The phenomenon also has another side, which is the use of social media for activist suppression, state and corporate surveillance, commodifi cation of social processes, demobilization, or for the mobilization of collective action toward undesirable ends. - Analyzes social media and collective action in an in-depth and balanced manner - Presents an account of avoiding technological determinism, utopianism, and fundamentalism - Considers the underlying theory behind quick-paced social media - Takes an interdisciplinary approach that will resonate with all those interested in social media and collective action, regardless of fi eld specialism
