Book Description
The authors have performed a search for a charged partner of the X(3872) decaying to J/[psi][pi][sup [+-]][pi][sup 0]. The results set upper limits on the product branching fractions of B([bar B][sup 0]/B[sup 0] --> X[sup [+-]]K[sup [-+]], X[sup [+-]] --> J/[psi][sup [+-]][pi][sup 0]) 5.2 x 10[sup -6] and B(B[sup [+-]]) -- X[sup [+-]]K[sup 0][sub s], X[sup [+-]] --> J/[psi][sup [+-]][pi][sup 0]

Book Description
We present results of a search for the X(3872) in B° → X(3872)K{sub S}°, X(3872) → J/???−, improved measurements of B− → X(3872)K−, and a study of the J/??+?− mass region above the X(3872). We use 232 million B{bar B} pairs collected at the?(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e+e− asymmetric-energy storage rings. The results include the 90% confidence interval 1.34 x 10−6

Book Description
The authors report the observation of a narrow state decaying into J/???− and produced in 220 pb−1 of {bar p}p collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV in the CDF II experiment. They observe 730 ± 90 decays. The mass is measured to be 3871.3 ± 0.7(stat) ± 0.4(syst) MeV/c2, with an observed width consistent with the detector resolution. This is in agreement with the recent observation by the Belle Collaboration of the X(3872) meson.

Book Description
We present a measurement of the dipion mass spectrum in the decay X(3872) [right arrow] J/ [psi] [pi]+ [pi]− using a 360 pb-1 sample of pp collisions at av [square root]s = 1.96 TeV collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermnilab Tevatron Collider. As a benchmark, we also extract the dipion mass distribution for [psi] (2s) [right arrow] J/ [psi] [pi]+ [pi]− decay. The X(3872) dipion mass spectrum is compared to QCD multipole expansion predictions for various charmonium states, as well as to the hypothesis [right arrow] J/ [psi] po. We find that the measured spectrum is compatible with 3S1 charmonium decaying to J/ [psi] [pi]+ [pi]− - and with the X(3872) - J/po hypothesis. There is, however, no 3S1 charmonium state available for assignment to the X(3872). The multipole expansion calculations for 1P1 and 3DJ states are in clear disagreement with the X(3872) data. For the [psi] (2S) the data agrees well with previously published results and to multipole expansion calculations for 3S1 charmonium. Other, non-charmonium, models for the X(3872) are described too. We conclude that since the dipion mass spectrum for X(3872) is compatible with J/pO hypothesis, the X(3872) should be C-positive. This conclusion is supported by recent results from Belle Collaboration which observed X(3872) -+ J/7y decay. We argue that if X(3872) is a charmonium, then it should be either ... state, decaying into J/ [psi] [pi]+ [pi]− in violation of isospin conservation. A non-charmonium assignment, such as DD* molecule, is also quite possible.

Book Description
Recently, several charmonium-like states above D{bar D} threshold have been discovered at the BELLE and BABAR B-factories. Some of these states are produced via Initial State Radiation (e.g. Y (4260) and Y (4350)) and some are observed in B meson decays (e.g. X(3872), Y (3940)). The BELLE observation of the enhancement in the [psi](2S)[pi]−, i.e. the Z(4430)− state, has generated a great deal of interest, because such a state must have minimum quark content (c{bar c}d{bar u}), so that it would represent the unequivocal manifestation of a four-quark meson state. Here we report recent BABAR results on the Y (4260), X(3872), Y(3940), and a search for the Z(4430)−.

Book Description
We report on the results of a search for the B[sub c] (b[bar c]) meson in the decay B[sub c][sup+-][yields] J/[psi]+[pi][sup+-]. This search is guided by a control sample of decays of B[sub u] mesons to J/[psi]+ K and uses[approx-equal] 75pb[sup -1] of data collected at the Collider Detector Facility (CDF) at Fermilab. The lifetime of the B[sub c] meson is unknown, so the 95% confidence level limit on[sigma][center-dot] BR(B[sub c][yields][psi]+[pi])/[sigma][center-dot] BR(B[sub u][yields][psi]+ K) is obtained as a function of the B[sub c] lifetime.
