After much consideration I requested Mr. T. M. Clark, a well known architect of Boston, to undertake the preparation of an article which would be specially serviceable in the construction of school-houses in rural districts and in small villages in every part of the country, and which would include the latest and best information not only about the construction and ventilation of school buildings, but also as to their decoration.
