Research for this study was limited to the villages of Nakomtenga and Nabitenga which are located 35 km northeast of Ouagadougou. The goals of the study were to analyze production systems of the most common crops, to evaluate the performance of an improved short duration sorghum variety and to develop and test survey methodologies for later use in the expanded program of village studies.
