Preliminary results on the production and decay of the f0(975) meson in the processes J/? 2!???−, J/? 2!??°?°, J/? 2!?K+K−, and J/? 2!??+?− are reported on. The data sample, corresponding to 5.8 × 106 produced J/?'s, were collected with the MARK-III detector at SPEAR. In a coupled- channel fit to the invariant mass distribution of the?+?− system opposite the?, the f0(975) product branching ratios, resonance parameters and couplings to K+K− and?+?− are extracted. An upper limit on f0(975) production in conjunction with an? is presented. 15 refs., 4 figs., 4 tabs.

Using the decay sequence J/? →?X, X → a0{sup {plus minus}}(980)?{sup {minus plus}}, a0{sup {plus minus}}(980) →??{sup {plus minus}}, where X is the f1(1285) or?(1400), the?? vs??− Dalitz plot intensity distributions are fitted with a model containing a coupled-channel parametrization of the a0(980). Preliminary values for the spin of X, the mass and width of the a0{sup {plus minus}}(980) to??{sup {plus minus}}, and the ratio of a0+(980) coupling strengths, g{sub K}2/g{sub?}2, to {bar K}°K+ and??+ are determined. From this model, the predictions for the ratios of branching ratios r{sub X} = B(X → a0(980)?){center dot}B(a0(980) → K{bar K})/B(X → a0{sup {plus minus}}(980)?){center dot}B(a0{sup {plus minus}}(980) →??{sup {plus minus}}) are compared with those obtained from MARK III Partial Waves analyses of the decays J/? →?K{sub s}°K{sup {plus minus}}?{sup {minus plus}} and J/? →?{eta}?+?−. 12 refs., 3 figs., 4 tabs.

We report a measurement of the production ratio of charged and neutral B mesons from [Upsilon](4S) decays based on the ratio of efficiency-corrected yields for the charmonium modes J/[psi] K and J/[psi] K{sub s}° with 81.9 fb−1 of data collected with the BABAR detector on the [Upsilon](4S) resonance at 10.580 GeV. We find a value of 1.006 ± 0.036(stat) ± 0.031(sys) for the ratio R{sup +/0} = [Lambda]([Upsilon](4S) 2!BB−)/[Lambda]([Upsilon](4S) 2!B°{bar B}°).

The authors reconstruct the charmonium mesons J/[psi], [psi](2S) and [chi]{sub c} using a sample of 8.46 x 106 B{bar B} events collected by the BABAR detector operating at ee− center of mass energies near the [Lambda](4S) resonance. by measuring rates relative to the branching fraction of the J/[psi], they obtain preliminary inclusive B branching fractions of (0.25 ± 0.02 ± 0.02)% to the [psi](2S) and (0.39 ± 0.04 ± 0.04)% to the [chi]{sub c1}, and set a 90% confidence level limit of 0.24% on decays through the [chi]{sub c2}.
