Il est donc important de prendre conscience de son mode d’apparition et des risques encourus chez la mère comme chez le fœtus à plus ou moins long terme. Le traitement de première intention reste aujourd’hui l’insuline, mais pour diverses raisons les traitements par antidiabétiques oraux représentent une nouvelle perspective thérapeutique. Ainsi, nous étudierons dans une première partie la physiopathologie et la prise en charge actuelle du diabète gestationnel. Et dans une seconde partie, nous discuterons des nouvelles perspectives thérapeutiques.
