Progress in the design and fabrication of a resonant detector for Mossbauer Spectroscopy is described.The report begins with a review of all of the methods of detection for this spectroscopy and describes the expected advantages of the resonant detector.If one uses conversion electron detection, considerable enhancement in signal to noise ratio and decrease in linewidth may be realized.Efforts to produce an iron bearing resonant material are described.(Author).
