Book Description
Acclaimed artist and Caldecott-winning picture book creator Faith Ringgold shares an inspiring look at America's lineage in this stunning ode to our country--past, present, and future. America is a land of diversity. Whether driven by dreams and hope, or escaping poverty or persecution, our ancestors--and the faces of America today--represent people from every reach of the globe. And each person brought with them a unique gift--of art and music; of determination and grit; of ideas and strength--that forever shaped the country we all call home. Vividly evoked in Faith Ringgold's sumptuous colors and patterns, WE CAME TO AMERICA is an ode to every American who came before us, and a tribute to the children who will carry its message into our future.

Book Description
Many school-based speech-language pathologists (SLPs) deal with large caseloads and limited resources. Taking on additional workload by implementing multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) can seem overwhelming. Multi-Tiered Systems of Support: Implementation Tools for Speech-Language Pathologists in Education offers practical research-based tools that school-based SLPs can use to balance the high demands of their job with supporting general education students. This professional resource provides answers to a range of questions about policy implications, applicability of the framework to a speech-language pathologist’s role in schools, and how an SLP can implement MTSS in their practice. Part I breaks down the important concepts of MTSS, while Part II is designed as an SLP MTSS Toolkit, featuring the collective wisdom of practitioners and researchers in the field. Throughout the text, readers will also find real-world snapshots of MTSS in action based on the experiences of actual SLPs in the field. Montclair

Montclair PDF Author: Philip Edward Jaeger
Publisher: Arcadia Publishing
ISBN: 9780738534756
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 134

Book Description
Montclair, New Jersey, like most American towns, has grown dramatically over the course of the last one hundred years. Much of the early 1900s landscape has been disguised, and the town has come to reflect the popular styles and fashions of changing eras. Streets have been paved, the facades of commercial buildings have been updated, and homes have been altered to reflect contemporary tastes and accommodate modern conveniences. This volume of approximately two hundred postcards from the author's collection, most never before published in book form, captures Montclair as it was in the early twentieth century. The reader will see familiar landmarks such as the Montclair Art Museum, the Marlboro Inn, and the Bellevue Theater as they originally appeared, and discover the vanished predecessors of the Japanese-style mansion on Upper Mountain Avenue and the Rockcliffe Apartments off Crestmont Road.
