En premier lieu (chap. 1), je me suis intéressé à deux méthodes différentes proposées par Altman (1960) pour résoudre un système linéaire. Ces méthodes peuvent être considérées cornme des méthodes de sous-espaces de Krylov pour résoudre un système projeté du système initial. Le lien avec les méthodes classiques de sous-espaces de Krylov est précisé et des résultats théoriques et numériques sur le comportement de la:convergence sont donnés. Ensuite (chap. 2), en utilisant des techniques d'extrapolation introduites par Brezinski (1999); j'ai obtenu diverses estimations du vecteur erreur. Cette nouvelle approche permet de retrouver plusieurs méthodes connues de projection et de donner de nouvelles procédures d'accélération. Puis (chap. 3), j'ai introduit une nouvelle méthode itérative pour résoudre des problèmes non linéaires de point fixe. Cette méthode inspirée par la méthode de Cauchy-Barzilai-Borwein (Raydan et al (2002)) peut être considérée comme une modification des méthodes Delta k introduites par Brezinski et Chehab (1998). Des résultats numériques concernant la solution d'un problème de réaction-diffusion avec bifurcations illustrent l'efficacité de cette nouvelle méthode. Un résultat théorique de convergence est donné. Finalement, je me suis intéréssé à l'accélération de la convergence de l'algorithme E.M. (chap. 4) qui est utilisé pour calculer des estimateurs du maximum de vraisemblance dans des problèmes de données incomplètes. J'ai présenté une nouvelle stratégie appelée Squaring (chap. 5) qui permet d'obtenir une classe de schémas itératifs afin d'accélérer la convergence de cet algorithme. Des résultats de convergence et des expériences numériques variées dont une application en tomographie (chap. 6) montrent l'intérêt de ces schémas. D'autre part (chap. 7), dans le cadre du Cemracs 2003, je me suis intéressé à un problème issu de la physique des plasmas concernant la résolution d'une équation de Vlasov-Poisson. Le but était d'améliorer l'efficacité des codes Particles ln Cell (PIC) à l'aide d'une reconstruction de la densité basée sur une méthode d'ondelettes. Des résultats numériques en une dimension concernant le problème de l'amortissement Landau ont été obtenus pour valider la méthode.
