L'étude du procédé de projection plasma (APS), de l'écoulement diphasique à la formation du dépôt en passant par l'étude de l'étalement des particules à l'impact, est aujourd'hui connu. De ces nombreuses études, résulte une connaissance des paramètres et conditions menant à la formation d'un dépôt présentant une adhérence, une homogénéité et une compacité maitrisées. Cependant, ces différentes études ne sont pas en mesure d'expliquer totalement la délamination et l'endommagement de certains dépôts. Afin d'expliquer ces phénomènes, l'étude des contraintes résiduelles et donc de l'histoire thermique et mécanique des dépôts s'impose. Dans cette optique, les travaux de cette thèse se sont articulés autour de trois objectifs distincts et complémentaires :Réaliser un état de l'art le plus exhaustif possible de cette problématique, Proposer un modèle numérique capable de rendre compte de l'état de surface et des contraintes induits par le procédé de sablage, Proposer une étude expérimentale du développement des contraintes lors de la réalisation d'un dépôt.
