There is a survey of a home farm drawn on the front page, with information about dividing the estate. Brown also lists travel for work related to probate, guardianships, placing notices, and witnessing wills. Brown appears to have been a follower of the Thomsonian System, a system of alternative medicine devised by Samuel Thomson of New Hampshire. Brown describes a Thompsonian treatment, and also includes medical recipes.
