Book Description
Peter Smith (d.ca. 1829) moved from New England to Ontario, Canada, with his parents about the time of the Revolutionary War. The family immigrated to Stark County, Illinois in 1837 and became Mormon converts, moving to Utah in 1847. William Reed Smith married Emeline Leavitt in 1853.
