Bowman, Argo and Harris as the House branch of the Committee to wait on the Governor. Mr. Robbins, on the part of the Committee to wait on the Governor, reported that the Governor would communicate with the Legislature by message, which would be first read in the House of Representatives and transmitted to the Senate. Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Pepper, Chaplain of the 40th Regimen U. S. T. The Speaker addressed the House as follows: "I congratulate you, gentleman, on your safe return, and trust that the proceedings of this session will be harmonious and productive of great good.
