Jacob Jennings was born in New Jersey in the mid-1700s. He married Mrs. Phoebe Ball Bonnell in 1768 in Connecticut Farms, New Jersey. He served in the American Revolution in the Morris County, New Jersey Militia. They settled in Turkey, later New Providence, New Jersey, and had nine children. They moved to Cumberland Township, Greene County. Pennsylvania in 1797. Jacob died in about 1820. Descendants and relatives lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois and elsewhere.
