Time of testing rigid bolts. - (a) Stay bolts must be tested at least once each calendar month or every 30 days as nearly as operating conditions will permit on all locomotives in service. No objection, however, will be taken by the Bureau of Locomotive Inspection if the 30-day period is not exceeded by more than 5 days when conditions fully justify.
