Interference Between Wing and Body at Supersonic Speeds
Interference Between Wing and Body at Supersonic Speeds
Interference Between Wing and Body at Supersonic Speeds: Data report, pressure distribution tests of wing-body interference models at Mach no. of 2.0, phase V tests of August 1951
Wing-body Interference at Supersonic Speeds with an Application to Combinations with Rectangular Wings
Author: Jack N. Nielsen
Publisher:
ISBN:
Category : Aerodynamics, Supersonic
Languages : en
Pages : 63
Book Description
An exact theoretical method is developed that permits the determination of the pressure field of a wing-body combination having a circular body and wings with supersonic leading and trailing edges. Detailed calculations are performed for the case of a rectangular wing or all-movable control surface on a body at zero angle of attack. Design charts are presented showing the effect of interference on the lift and center-of-pressure position of the wings. The physical basis of the interference is discussed.

Wing Body Interference at Supersonic Speeds
Aerodynamic Components of Aircraft at High Speeds
Author: Allen F. Donovan
Publisher: Princeton University Press
ISBN: 1400879906
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 863
Book Description
Volume VII of the High Speed Aerodynamics and Jet Propulsion series. It deals with applications to specific components of the complete aircraft. Sections of the volume include: aerodynamics of wings at high speed, aerodynamics of bodies at high speed, interaction problems, propellers at high speed, diffusers and nozzles, and nonsteady wing characteristics. Originally published in 1957. The Princeton Legacy Library uses the latest print-on-demand technology to again make available previously out-of-print books from the distinguished backlist of Princeton University Press. These editions preserve the original texts of these important books while presenting them in durable paperback and hardcover editions. The goal of the Princeton Legacy Library is to vastly increase access to the rich scholarly heritage found in the thousands of books published by Princeton University Press since its founding in 1905.
