La presente investigación es exploratoria descriptiva, se aborda la temática de la maternidad durante la adolescencia. La muestra es de carácter intencionada, por tratarse sólo de alumnas en condiciones de madre y se constituye por 27 estudiantes de 6 establecimientos edicativos de enseñanza media del sistema nunicipal y particular subvencionado. El objetivo del estudio es describir el nivel de autoestima, adpatación personal y social; conocer las relaciones interpersonales y analizar el rendimiento escolar, utilizando el test de autoestima de Coopersmith, Inventario de Personalidad de California, la encuesta madre adolescente y finalmente un análisis de los promedio de notas. Los resultados nos permiten apreciar que las alumnas madres, no planifican su embarazo. El autoestima de las alumnas se considera en un nivel normal, pero su autoestima escolar y social se encuentra en un nivel bajo. La adaptación personal, se encuentra en un nivel normal aunque con una leve tendencia a la baja, similar es la adaptación social, reflejando que poco mas de la mitad de las alumnas se encuentran en un nivel normal, y un tercio de ellas se encuentran en un nivel bajo o muy bajo.
