And the apostle says: “How to call on him in whom they have not believed” ( Rom. 10:14 )? And the Lord God Himself says: “I am the Lord your God” ( Exodus 20: 2 ), that is, know Me alone, confess, trust Me alone and seek all good from Me. “Call Me on the day of your sorrow, and I will deliver you” ***** ( Ps. 49:15 ). 2) Duty in relation to ourselves: since we are both physically and spiritually meager, poor and cursed, we must in faith seek all good from the Giver of all blessings - Heavenly Father. 3) The following applies to the duty concerning the neighbor: Christian love requires us to pray for our neighbor, and both ourselves and him should be asked for good from our God, as the apostle says: “Pray for each other to be healed” ( James 5:16 ).
