Denmark PDF Author: International Monetary Fund. Monetary and Capital Markets Department
Publisher: International Monetary Fund
ISBN: 1498334083
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 229

Book Description
This paper discusses key findings of the Detailed Assessment of Observance of the Basel Core Principles for Effective Banking Supervision (BCPs) on Denmark. Denmark has a high level of compliance with the BCPs. The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has appropriate legal authority to carry out supervision effectively, and its risk-based approach has focused well on the key elements of risk within its banking system. The compliance with the credit-risk related principles is uniformly high and the provisioning policies have been adequately enhanced. Its overall supervision is also considered sound, although resource constraints result in an extended supervision cycle and some risk areas receiving insufficient attention.

Book Description
Praise for Sarbanes-Oxley Guide for Finance and Information Technology Professionals "Effective SOX programs enlist the entire organization to build and monitor a compliant control environment. However, even the best SOX programs are inefficient at best, ineffective at worst, if there is a lack of informed, competent finance and IT personnel to support the effort. This book provides these important professionals a needed resource for and road map toward successfully implementing their SOX initiative." —Scott Green Chief Administrative Officer, Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP and author, Sarbanes-Oxley and the Board of Directors "As a former CFO and CIO, I found this book to be an excellent synopsis of SOX, with impressive implementation summaries and checklists." —Michael P. Cangemi CISA, Editor in Chief, Information Systems Control Journal and author, Managing the Audit Function "An excellent introduction to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act from the perspective of the financial and IT professionals that are on the front lines of establishing compliance in their organizations. The author walks through many areas by asking 'what can go wrong' types of questions, and then outlines actions that should be taken as well as the consequences of noncompliance. This is a good book to add to one's professional library!" —Robert R. Moeller Author, Sarbanes-Oxley and the New Internal Auditing Rules "Mr. Anand has compiled a solid overview of the control systems needed for not only accounting systems, but also the information technologies that support those systems. Among the Sarbanes books on the market, his coverage of both topics is unique." —Steven M. Bragg Author, Accounting Best Practices "An excellent overview of the compliance process. A must-read for anyone who needs to get up to speed quickly with Sarbanes-Oxley." —Jack Martin Publisher, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Journal

Book Description
The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has made substantial progress in updating its regulatory and supervisory frameworks since the last Financial Stability Assessment Program (FSAP) in 2017. The OJK has strengthened its regulatory framework, implementing the Basel III post-crisis reforms. The recently enacted Financial Sector Omnibus Law (FSOL) enhances the OJK’s institutional set-up, powers, banking regulation and supervisory frameworks and clarifies the Financial System Stability Committee’s (KSSK’s) mandate for systemic risk monitoring and coordination. The OJK has developed supervision capabilities and deployed innovative Supervisory Technologies (SupTech) to achieve greater efficiency in banking supervision. New regulations on corporate governance have elevated the importance of good governance within the banking industry. While progress has been made, the OJK must continue intensifying its efforts, considering emerging challenges in the global economic and financial environment and new risks from digitalization, cyber and climate change.
