El libro que tiene en sus manos se refiere a la Evaluacion del Uso de un Course Management System (CMS) en una Escuela de Negocios. Los CMS son aplicaciones informaticas instaladas en un servidor cuya funcion es facilitar la creacion, administracion, gestion y distribucion de cursos a traves de Internet (Sanchez, 2005). El objetivo de esta investigacion fue determinar si el CMS lograba los objetivos para los cuales fue implantado. Tambien se propuso evidenciar la calidad de los servicios que ofrece este sistema, desde la perspectiva de los usuarios. Para llevar a cabo esta evaluacion se aplico un diseno de investigacion de tipo mixto. Las tecnicas que se utilizaron fueron grupos de enfoque y encuestas. Los participantes de este estudio fueron autoridades, administradores del CMS, profesores y estudiantes. Los resultados de este trabajo evidenciaron que el CMS tiene un buen funcionamiento y que si esta orientado al logro de sus objetivos. De igual forma, los usuarios del CMS juzgan de manera positiva los servicios que se ofrecen por medio de este sistema."
