L'objectif de cette thèse est de développer les micro capteurs RMN (Résonance Magnétique Nucléaire) et d'améliorer leurs performances en sensibilité. L'architecture adoptée pour le développement d'un tel système comporte l'électronique de traitement de signal fonctionnant sous champ magnétique associée à la microantenne. L'électronique proposée est constituée d'un préamplificateur faible bruit large bande et d'une adaptation d'impédance active en sortie. Le préamplificatur est réalisé à l'aide de convoyeur de courant qui permet un fonctionnement faute fréquence. L'électronique associée est réalisée en technologie CMOS 0.8 μm avec optimisation des performances essentielles, tel que la bande passante, le bruit et l'offset. L'effet du fort champ magnétique sur le fonctionnement du circuit a également été considéré. Le test du circuit fabriqué a été réalisé pour vérifier le fonctionnement du circuit et pour évaluer ses performances. Un capteur RMN actif a été réalisé par la combinaison de la microantenne et le circuit testé. Son utilisation en spectroscopie RMN pour la détection du proton sous le champ magnétique de 2 tesla à 85.13 Mhz, montre une amélioration de 24 fois du rapport signal sur bruit comparé au capteur RMN passif actuellement utilisé

Le domaine de l'instrumentation des capteurs est en constante évolution. Ce travail propose la conception des éléments clefs qui constituent les chaines d'instrumentations de capteurs d'aujourd'hui au travers de 3 applications concrètes. La première application est la mesure de vitesse et de position, par exemple dans un roulement. Nous présentons la conception et la réalisation d'un circuit analogique pour le conditionnement d'un capteur de type magnétorésistif. Ce capteur mesure le champ magnétique généré par les pôles magnétiques d'une roue codeuse. Le circuit est optimisé en bruit, en consommation et travaille sur une bande passante de plusieurs kHz. Pour compenser la dispersion des capteurs, le circuit permet des réglages d'offset et une calibration de gains. Il contient également une mémoire de type OTP (One Time Programmable Memory) qui sauvegarde les réglages associés au capteur. La deuxième application est la mesure de signaux de type EcoG afin d'interfacer le cerveau humain. Nous décrivons la conception et la réalisation d'un convertisseur Analogique/Numérique de type SAR. Il possède un convertisseur numérique analogique capacitif avec une capacité d'atténuation afin de réduire le nombre total de condensateur et ainsi la consommation. Le comparateur possède une entrée rail-to-rail et un système de préamplification avec auto zéro pour diminuer l'offset. Sa consommation est de 86μW pour une vitesse de 24Ks/S et 12bits de résolution. Enfin la troisième application est la mesure de pression stationnaire sur la voilure des avions afin d'en connaître les contraintes. Nous décrivons l'étude architecturale d'un convertisseur sigma-delta permettant d'atteindre une grande résolution pour des signaux de faible fréquence. Il sera de type incrémentale et répondra à des applications de type instrumentation de capteur. Sa résolution est de 16bits ENOB pour une fréquence maximale d'entrée de 100Hz et minimale de sortie d'1Ks/S. Le mode incrémental permettra d'obtenir une sortie en réponse à une requête de manière asynchrone. Une modélisation de chaque élément du système complet convertisseur plus capteur a été effectuée sous Matlab. L'étude de la partie filtrage numérique du convertisseur et l'optimisation de son implémentation numérique sont présentées. Cette étude architecturale complète aboutit au dimensionnement de chaque élément pour répondre au cahier des charges de l'application .

This report provides the most comprehensive and rigorous analysis of Iraqi income and expenditure in several decades. The report makes extensive use of the Iraq Household Socio-Economic Survey, the first nationwide income and expenditure survey since 1988. IHSES data is complemented income and expenditure data from a wide range of other measures of living standards, allowing us to analyze living standards in a holistic way. The analysis presented here was performed with two main goals first, to inform the Government s Poverty Reduction Strategy; and second, to serve as a baseline for future assessments of changes in living standards and the identification of critical issues for deeper examination. Iraqi living standards have two unusual characteristics. First, they have fallen over the past generation. Second, they feature surprisingly little inequality. These characteristics are both rooted in Iraq s recent history of authoritarian government, war, military occupation, insurgency, and civil strife leading to infrastructure destruction and population displacement. There have been few opportunities for individuals to prosper from professional or entrepreneurial activities. Decades of neglected investment have resulted in deterioration of social services and economic infrastructure. Consequently, individuals have lacked capabilities to prosper and an investment climate conducive to prosperity. School enrollment and life expectancy have declined. Extremely low returns to education reflect the combination of poor educational quality and lack of employment opportunities. In terms of economic infrastructure, access to reliable electricity and water, and even access to paved roads are low, are further reflections of decades of neglect. While the upper end of the distribution has been pulled down by a lack of opportunities, the lower end has been supported by direct government provision of food. The Public Distribution System (PDS) provides 85 percent of food needs. While PDS has been useful as a safety net for the poor and the vulnerable, the system is expensive, inefficient, and fiscally risky. Indeed, PDS food rations account for a far greater share of public spending than does education or health. Going forward, Iraq faces two main challenges. First, although Iraq does not have to develop from scratch, it faces a formidable challenge in re-development. Second, a shift by the Government is required from direct provision of basic subsistence toward investment in human capacities. The Government can provide an enabling environment through investments in economic infrastructure and services to business and citizens, thus allowing the population to make productive use of education and their own labor. Both challenges are now being taken up by the Poverty Reduction Strategy, which articulates a detailed set of required actions and outlines priorities for government spending.
