La propuesta que se presenta a lo largo de este proyecto es validar la introducción del teatro y la dramatización en el aula de Educación Infantil de 5 años, como recurso pedagógico en el que se fomenta, a través de las competencias emocionales propuestas por Rafael Bisquerra, una Educación Emocional a lo largo de un curso académico. El juego socio dramático y la dramatización aportan grandes beneficios a la educación de los alumnos de Educación Infantil. En este aspecto destaca la expresión corporal, oral y verbal, la regulación y conciencia emocional y aspectos de la valoración ajustada y positiva de los propios alumnos: auto concepto y autoestima; conceptos que se relacionan además con las neuronas espejo y su desarrollo a través del teatro. La adquisición de habilidades pro sociales también adquiere un espacio importante a lo largo de este desarrollo. Las competencias emocionales se trabajan a partir de una serie de actividades con un componente lúdico y significativo, en las que, a partir de realidades cercanas a los alumnos, se adquieren aprendizajes vivenciales que desarrollan la Educación Emocional y fomentan el aprendizaje social. En estas líneas, el teatro se considera una herramienta pedagógica muy potente y significativa que ayuda a incorporar los contenidos de la Inteligencia Emocional de una manera lúdica, innovadora e interdisciplinar.

Based on twenty case studies of universities worldwide, and on a survey administered to leaders in 101 universities, this open access book shows that, amidst the significant challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, universities found ways to engage with schools to support them in sustaining educational opportunity. In doing so, they generated considerable innovation, which reinforced the integration of the research and outreach functions of the university. The evidence suggests that universities are indeed open systems, in interaction with their environment, able to discover changes that can influence them and to change in response to those changes. They are also able, in the success of their efforts to mitigate the educational impact of the pandemic, to create better futures, as the result of the innovations they can generate. This challenges the view of universities as "ivory towers" being isolated from the surrounding environment and detached from local problems.
