How can teacher education prepare future teachers for their work in increasingly diverse classrooms? How does the concept of plurilingualism inform language educational policy in different countries? What are the current opportunities and challenges in the domain of internationalisation in teacher education? Les éducateurs fabriquent de l'humain, et comme le disait Fernand Deligny, " c'est autrement difficile que de monter une expédition au pôle Nord avec des chiens de traîneaux ". On a beau essayer de neutraliser, de maîtriser la relation éducative en la parant des habits du management, de la gestion des populations ou de l'ingénierie sociale, l'acte éducatif repose toujours sur une rencontre humaine. S'appuyant sur sa triple expérience d'éducateur, de formateur et de psychanalyste, l'auteur propose de mettre à nu ce qui se noue dans la relation éducative, notamment ce que l'éducateur met en jeu et ce qui l'affecte. Il étudie l'apport de la psychanalyse dans la réflexion sur la relation éducative.
