In this e-book, I describe this phenomenon, which I’ve dubbed “copy-paste creativity,” starting from its historical origins (the avant-garde art movements of the early 20th century) up to its contemporary versions, with trends and labels of varying genres and tone: new media art, Post-Internet, remix culture, appropriation, postproduction, etc. In the final part of the book, I summarize how the arrival of the internet and advanced modern technology have been a springboard to the emergence of new creative figures called creators, part Naïf and part outsider artists, who are gradually gaining visibility in the upper echelons of the fine art world.
