Dal 24 novembre 2010 è in vigore la legge n. 183/2010, il c.d "Collegato Lavoro", approvato dalla Camera dei Deputati in via definitiva il 19 ottobre 2010. Si tratta di un complesso normativo di grande importanza, il cui impatto sugli operatori del settore è paragonabile a quello avuto in passato dalla Riforma Biagi. La Collana "Collegato Lavoro" si compone di 6 titoli e vuole proporsi come una traduzione operativa delle misure previste dalla Legge 4 novembre 2010, n. 183, calate nella operatività quotidiana e dei cambiamenti annunciati per aziende e dipendenti. Il terzo volume si propone di illustrare compiutamente tutta la disciplina contenuta nell'art. 32 della legge n. 183/2010 con riferimento ai rapporti di lavoro a tempo determinato, sia con riferimento ai termini di impugnazione delle fattispecie di illegittimità, sia con riguardo alla controversa questione delle indennità risarcitorie. Non manca poi una analisi specifica dei temi relativi al contratto a termine anche con riguardo ai primi pronunciamenti giurisprudenziali di merito e di Cassazione. Inoltre per interpretare al meglio le novità il testo si arricchisce di apposite "check-list" che presentano, in modo schematico, con la chiarezza tipica della tecnica editoriale "domanda-risposta", tutti i profili più incisivi delle novità in materia di lavoro a termine introdotte dalla legge n. 183/2010 al fine di identificare, a colpo d'occhio, la giusta soluzione. Le "check-list" contribuiscono ad interpretare al meglio e nel più breve tempo, le novità normative attraverso la rappresentazione pratica di atti e comportamenti procedurali. Work is constantly reshaped by technological progress. New ways of production are adopted, markets expand, and societies evolve. But some changes provoke more attention than others, in part due to the vast uncertainty involved in making predictions about the future. The 2019 World Development Report will study how the nature of work is changing as a result of advances in technology today. Technological progress disrupts existing systems. A new social contract is needed to smooth the transition and guard against rising inequality. Significant investments in human capital throughout a person’s lifecycle are vital to this effort. If workers are to stay competitive against machines they need to train or retool existing skills. A social protection system that includes a minimum basic level of protection for workers and citizens can complement new forms of employment. Improved private sector policies to encourage startup activity and competition can help countries compete in the digital age. Governments also need to ensure that firms pay their fair share of taxes, in part to fund this new social contract. The 2019 World Development Report presents an analysis of these issues based upon the available evidence.

This volume offers a selection of papers presented during the 14th International Conference on the History of the Language Sciences (ICHoLS XIV, Paris, 2017). Part I brings together studies dealing with descriptive concepts. First examined is the notion of “accidens” in Latin grammar and its Greek counterparts. Other papers address questions with a strong echo in today’s linguistics: localism and its revival in recent semantics and syntax, the origin of the term “polysemy” and its adoption through Bréal, and the difficulties attending the description of prefabs, idioms and other “fixed expressions”.
