A Collection of Thoughts
Author: Isaac Kroll
Publisher: iUniverse
ISBN: 1663209421
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 89
Book Description
A Collection Of Thoughts is everything to me. It includes nearly all the poetry, prose, and a good chunk of the things that went through my head in highschool that I deemed worth writing down. I created it to help people, whether they feel alone, are having trouble moving forward, or need a visual to take their mind elsewhere. But those in a stable state of mind can appreciate the concepts, flowing word-choice, and variation in meter and rhythm too. So kick back, grab your favorite snacks, and prepare to be taken to familiar roads and distant shores. I hope you find something to hold onto. From my soul, Isaac Kroll

Publisher: Dorrance Publishing
ISBN:
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 51
Book Description
About the Book This collection of poetry and short stories covers a wide variety of emotions that humans experience, the obstacles and miracles we all face. The message behind the story is that no one is alone when it comes to facing these emotions; we all have them, and these stories convey some stories that most people had to deal with (for example, loss of a loved one). Collection of Thoughts evokes strong emotions and memories that make readers reflect on life. About the Author Wilbert E. August II is a recent graduate from the University of Oklahoma majoring in Economics and minoring in English writing and Japanese. He is a classically trained pianist practicing this art for about 18 years. Other hobbies of his include cooking, writing, and reading Edgar Allen Poe. When it comes to writing, it is a way for August to express emotions that are hard for him to speak into words; through writing, August wishes to evoke the same emotions in his readers.

A Collection of Thoughts About Life
Author: Ian William Johnston
Publisher: BalboaPress
ISBN: 1452505969
Category : Philosophy
Languages : en
Pages : 77
Book Description
How this little book came about. Upon discharge from hospital on the second occasion after a battle with a brain tumour, my wife Ruth and I set about the first appropriate step in cleaning out the cupboard of our lives, as we termed it. Up until this point, we had paid little attention to the stresses in our lives, just accepting what is. Our first priority was to habitually harness more the developed awareness from our life experiences. We focused more on the idiosyncrasies of any acquaintance, looking past their persona to allow a greater accuracy of potential conformity to the collective personalities. This before any would make a profound entrance into our lives, opposed to having an ill-conceived come-all policy, to be whipped (metaphorically) by bad manner, lack of empathy or dishonesty. For some people, aggression seemingly forms a central part of their existence, creating their own epiphenomenon with its stress. Peace is an element of life that should be available for all to rightfully inherit. Many never achieve this state, as motivational paralysis or a shallow belief in themselves can keep them suspended in continued dysfunctional unhappiness. The majority of people would agree that they deserve to be treated well, but there are many who expect high esteem to be bestowed on them. They give very little in return, while playing out their different versions of an inferiority/superiority complex or ignorance on others. The subject headings in this book are well known. The content presents a simple and brief reminder to the aspects of mans inherent or contrived nature. To sit awhile in silence and reflect on the condition of ones own life is to enable the beginning, if needed, toward assuagement of a better dawn, no matter where one is placed in life. Pull the contemptuous thorn of others from your mind by the ability of distance. Ian Johnston
