Excerpt from Class of 1863 of Harvard College: Memoirs, June, 1914 to March, 1915 He was at one time a councillor of the Massachusetts Medical Society and a member of the Association of American Physicians, one of the most select medical organizations in this country. In 1895 he was made president of the Suffolk District Medical Society, and in 1896 president of the Boston Society for Medical Improvement. He also was a member of the Society of the Colo nial Wars. Mason made many contributions to clinical medicine, which appeared from time to time in periodical literature, and he also took a prominent part in the preparation of the History of the Boston City Hospital.. Be'was married, September 30, 1874, to Louisa Blake Steedman, daughter of rear-admiral Charles Steedman. His daughter, Marion Steedman, was born July 17, 1875, and was married on March 11, 1902, to Richard T. Wilson, Jr., of New York. His grandchildren are Louisa Steedman Wilson, born April 26, 1904, and Marion Mason Wilson, born April 21, 1906.
