Computational Quantum Chemistry

Computational Quantum Chemistry PDF Author: Masoud Soroush
Publisher: Elsevier
ISBN: 0128159847
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 386

Book Description
Computational Quantum Chemistry: Insights into Polymerization Reactions consolidates extensive research results, couples them with computational quantum chemistry (CQC) methods applicable to polymerization reactions, and presents those results systematically. CQC has advanced polymer reaction engineering considerably for the past two decades. The book puts these advances into perspective. It also allows you to access the most up-to-date research and CQC methods applicable to polymerization reactions in a single volume. The content is rigorous yet accessible to graduate students as well as researchers who need a reference of state-of-the-art CQC methods with polymerization applications. Consolidates more than 10 years of theoretical polymerization reaction research currently scattered across journal articles Accessibly presents CQC methods applicable to polymerization reactions Provides researchers with a one-stop source of the latest theoretical developments in polymer reaction engineering

Reactions on Polymers

Book Description
The subject matter of this volume has its roots in the early days of polymer chemistry when gun cotton and Parkesine were first developed. Indeed, its roots can ultimately be traced into anti quity, since, in commerce and daily life, man has always carried out reactions on polymers, e. g. in primitive dyeing and tanning operations. In more modern times Prof. Staudinger is commonly acknowledged as the investigator most responsible for the renais sance of interest in "polymer analogous" reactions. In recent years it has become apparent that the "black art" of conducting chemical reactions on macromolecules is an area which is amenable to basic scientific investigation. Examples of important developments which have come 'about ,in part ,as a result of this realization have been the advances in molecular biology (which may be rightly considered as the biochemistry of macromo lecules) and by such milestone achievements as solid phase pep tide synthesis and affinity chromatography. These few selected examples all have macromolecules (biological and synthetiC) in common. The stimulation to wide areas of scientific endeavor re sulting from these developments would undoubtedly have occurred· sooner, and certainly with much less difficulty, had the various investigators been aware of the problems attending attempts at performing reactions on polymers. The major purposes of this Advanced Studies Institute were threefold: 1.

Polymer Supported Chemical Reactions

Polymer Supported Chemical Reactions PDF Author: P. Hodge
Publisher: iSmithers Rapra Publishing
ISBN: 9780080417394
Category : Catalysts
Languages : en
Pages : 124

Book Description
Polymer supported chemical reactions may include those using supported substrates, reagents and catalysts, and this report describes all three types. In all cases the most frequent reason for the use of a polymeric support will be the ease of separation of the supported and the low molecular c099 species. An additional indexed section containing several hundred abstracts from the Rapra Polymer Library database provides useful references for further reading.

Principles of Polymer Chemistry

Principles of Polymer Chemistry PDF Author: A. Ravve
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 1461422124
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 810

Book Description
This successful textbook undergoes a change of character in the third edition. Where earlier editions covered organic polymer chemistry, the third edition covers both physical and organic chemistry. Thus kinetics and thermodynamics of polymerization reactions are discussed. This edition is also distinct from all other polymer textbooks because of its coverage of such currently hot topics as photonic polymers, electricity conducting polymers, polymeric materials for immobilization of reagents and drug release, organic solar cells, organic light emitting diodes. This textbook contains review questions at the end of every chapter, references for further reading, and numerous examples of commercially important processes.
