Pour cela nous proposons de : - donner du sens aux opérations en utilisant des quantités concrètes, manipulables et représentables. - démarrer une pratique du calcul sur les premiers nombres jusqu’à dix et installer les résultats indispensables au calcul réfléchi et à l’installation du calcul posé. - introduire la soustraction très rapidement pour faire fonctionner la réversibilité de la pensée car de nombreux élèves restent définitivement bloqués sur l’addition. - faire manipuler et verbaliser les élèves avant de passer au travail écrit pour les aider à anticiper et à mieux se représenter les tâches demandées. - utiliser des formes variées de mémorisation tant auditives que visuelles, toujours basées sur la progressivité. - introduire une régularité des consignes et de la présentation pour rassurer les élèves. - favoriser l’enrôlement par des situations variées et concrètes et par de nombreux jeux.
