Originally from Switzerland, brothers Heinrich and Johannes Worman and their families set sail for America from Liverpool, England 28 June 1735 on the ship Mary. According to one source, they intended to go to the Carolinas, but landed in Pennsylvania. "At this point Heinrich and Johannes ... [became] Henry and John. The land they initially settled on was then known as Philadelphia County - it became Montgomery County in 1784 ... According to information presently on hand, Henry stayed in this area until his death in 1765. John and his family are said to have made several moves up into Bucks County."--Page 9. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Indiana, Missouri, Colorado, Washington and elsewhere.
