It brought together 40 leading experts in the field of wireless communications and filled a conference room with a vast amount of intellectual capacity in the area of communications technology. Experts represented the private sector, academia, State and local Governments, and the research and advocacy community. Appendix A provides a full list of participants. / The roundtable was structured to accommodate presentations, discussion, and dialogue among participants. Its goal was to share with thought leaders in the field of wireless communications critical information about the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) vision, interest, and applications to the transportation sector.
