Esta investigación se fundamenta en la teoría de Zimmerman que establece que la autorregulación es una habilidad mental o una destreza de rendimiento académico, es un proceso auto directivo en que el aprendizaje puede transformar las habilidades mentales en destrezas académicas. Además, se incluyen los portulados de Pintrich el cual estableció que desde la perspectiva de autorregulación el estudiante es visto como un participante activo en los procesos de aprendizaje. Este estudio investiga tres variables: autorregulación, aprovechamiento académico y actitud. Se demuestra que existe relación significativa entre el aprovechameinto académico y las destrezas de autorregulación. En relación con la actitud muestra ser positiva ante las destrezas de autorregulación.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar los factores que se encuentran asociados al rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Para este propósito se empleó el enfoque cuantitativo, se ubicó en el diseño no experimental, transversal y descriptiva correlacional. La investigación tuvo una población de 54 estudiantes de estudios generales de una escuela profesional de una universidad pública matriculados en el año en curso al desarrollo de la investigación. Para calcular el tamaño de muestra se utilizó el diseño de muestreo aleatorio irrestricto dando como resultado 19 y 15 estudiantes de II Y IV ciclo respectivamente. Las técnicas estadísticas empleadas para este trabajo fueron la selección de Clústeres y el Análisis Factorial de Correspondencias Múltiples empleando el software R-Studio. Los resultados que se obtuvieron en esta investigación son la clasificación de variables y el perfil de los estudiantes según su promedio ponderado. Mediante el Dendograma de variables se determinó con un punto de corte igual a ocho, 4 clúster denominados nivel educativo más alto entre los padres del estudiante, factores sociodemográficos, medio de traslado a la universidad y factores de distancia y responsabilidad académica. El perfil de los estudiantes con un promedio ponderado en el rango de 0 a 10, se caracteriza por no vivir en Trujillo Metropolitano, presentan uno o más cursos rezagados, su medio de traslado a la universidad es a pie y son menores de 20 años; los que tienen un promedio ponderado en el rango de 15 a 20, se caracteriza por el nivel de estudios más alto entre sus padres que es superior universitario, tienen una familia extensa, su asistencia es mayor al 70% y no trabajan; y los que tienen un promedio ponderado de 11 a 14 se caracterizan por su conformación de grupos que es heterogénea, sexo femenino, no presentan cursos rezagados, su medio de traslado es el transporte público, viven en Trujillo Metropolitano y tienen una edad mayor o igual a 20 años.

On a mountainside in sunny Tuscany, in October 1989, 96 people from 23 countries on five continents gathered to learn and teach about the problems of managing contemporary science. The diversity of economic and political systems represented in the group was matched by our occupations, which stretched from science policy practitioners, through research scientists and engineers, through academic observers of science and science policy. It was this diversity, along with the opportunities for infonnal discussion provided by long meals and remote location, that made the conference a special learning experience. Except at lecture time, it was impossible to distinguish the "students" at this event from the "teachers," and even the most senior members of the teaching staff went away with a sense that they had learned more from this group than from many a standard conference on science policy they had attended. The flavor of the conference experience cannot be captured adequately in a proceedings volume, and so we have not tried to create a historical record in this book.
