Les commandes numériques habituellement utilisées pour commander les machines-outils engagées dans la réalisation d'une opération de tournage sont basées sur la mise en oeuvre de boubles d'asservissement des vitesses d'avance et de rotation de la broche. Nous avons proposé avec notre travail une extention des principes de contrôle par l'introduction de boucles supplémentaires de régulation adaptative. Ces dernières utilisent des stratégies avancées d'identification et de commande en temps réel pour asservir l'effort de coupe afin d'obtenir un gain significatif en productivité. Dans ce contexte, les développements que nous avons menés sont situés à l'intersection de la mécanique, par utilisation des principes et règles de conduite d'usinage, et de l'automatique, par la conception des algorithmes d'identification et de commande. La démarche générale a consisté à étudier des modèles statistiques et dynamiques du processus de tournage, à concevoir et à tester en simulation des stratégies de commande adaptative et enfin à réaliser la validation et l'adaptation sur une machine-outil cible. Pour définir une stratégie de commande adaptative satisfaisante, nous avons completé d'une manière progressive les algorithmes proposés. A partir du régulateur P.I.D. nous avons ensuite considéré des commandes par retour d'état : commande par placement de pôles avec compensation partielle de la non linéarité utilisant l'approche DELTA et commande optimale linéaire quadratique avec compensation complète de la non linéarité. Nous avons aussi proposé un couplage original d'un modèle dynamique du processus de tournage avec un modèle analytique de prédiction de l'usure de l'outil. Pour la validation avec la machine cible, nous avons utilisé une méthode de régulation numérique robuste basée sur la calibrage de la fonction de sensibilité perturbation-sortie.

Preface Adhesion is a phenomenon architects and civil engineers are not very familiar with. In other disciplines knowledge about surface properties and the background of bonding energies is also far from satisfactory; nevertheless there are many important· applications in concrete engineering, where adhesion is necessary for success and durability.
