The M996 CAV is rigged on a 20-foot, type V airdrop platform for low-velocity airdrop from a C-130, C-141, C- 5, and C-17. The load requires three G-11 cargo parachutes. The CAV is rigged with communication equipment. The M998 cargo/troop carrier (two seater) is rigged with a radio equipment GRC/206 Air Force pallet.
