The main objectives of the study were to enhance the fast food service quality impact on overall customer satisfaction, to study purchaser behavior towards fast food places, to identify various key factors used by clients in the selection of fast food restaurants; and to analyze the particular differences/similarities in critical factors deemed by consumers for the selection of fast food restaurants. Our objective should be to look into the particular crucial elements that really help to determine the expectations which buyers have regarding the fast food market and his or her perceptions of good quality through experience. The organizations under study were Pizza Hut, Hardees, KFC, McDonald's and Subway located in Lahore, Pakistan. An extensive review of the literature was carried out by reviewing research studies, books, site pages and journals etc. On the basis of that literature review and its inferences, a questionnaire was developed which was needed for this quantitative type of research. The data was collected from the customer of these restaurants. A sample of 407 customers was selected randomly. Data was compiled and statistically analyzed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. On the basis of their responses correlation test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied through IBM SPSS. Results of each question were thoroughly analyzed and discussed by the researcher. Graphical representation of all the data has been shown. Conclusions of the study include the strengths of the organization as well as a few deficiencies in performance. ABSTRACT : It is the interest of an organization to retain employees and minimize turnover. However, many food service managers have little understanding of how to satisfy their employees and how these employees' satisfaction levels influence their performance or intent to leave their position. In fact, because of this limited understanding, managers' efforts towards employee satisfaction can sometimes create more dissonance than cohesion between employees and management, leading to exclusive employee turnover. High quality service is always expected from restaurant employees by their employers. This is as a result of competition going on in the tourism market. In order to gain a competitive advantage over the other restaurants, the restaurant operators tend to pile up pressures on their employees in order to deliver excellent services. Due to these increasing pressures and higher commitment placed on employees, job satisfaction may decrease. The employee's job is complex and demanding; but the truth is that it is when you give the employees what they want, that you can get what you expect from them. During the field study of this thesis, it has been observed that many of the restaurant employees were unsatisfied in their jobs. This study was conducted to explore the job satisfaction of restaurant employees in Lagos, Nigeria. For this study, 241 restaurant employees in the first class restaurants in Lagos responded to a questionnaire survey using the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) to explore the specific variables of gender, age, level of education, job position, job tenure and experience to determine which variables may or may not contribute to job satisfaction. SPSS was used to analyze the results in order to determine the relative impact that criterion variables have in predicting job satisfaction. The findings of this study suggest that restaurant employees in Lagos were generally satisfied with their jobs. Unsurprisingly, the employees who responded were least satisfied with their level of compensation and most satisfied with company policy. Furthermore, satisfaction with policies, working conditions, and advancement were found to have a significant relationship to the overall satisfaction. Results from the study are useful as they serve as a motivating force for those who are trying to gain more information about the restaurant employees in Lagos. This research should also help foodservice managers understand the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
