The in-field survey was conducted by the Environmental Resources Section of the US Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District, During August 1978. An in-field survey failed to locate any archeological, historical, or architectural sites within the project boundaries, therefore, it is recommended that this project be cleared to proceed as planned.

Three separate parcels of land to be impacted by impending levee repair work were examined. Field examination determine that the area had been heavily modified by the original levee construction.
