ISBN: 1625163916
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 63

Book Description
WEAVE Model provides a framework that helps create a social media strategy in line with your other business strategies. The word WEAVE itself represents the five-letter strategy list consisting of: W for word of mouth; E for engage and empower relations; A for authenticity and transparency; V for value and trust; and E for emotional connect. These five basic principles are explained with great clarity. You will learn how to achieve these principles, how to weave them in with other business strategies, and how to achieve success with this model. The USP (unique selling proposition) of the book is that it is short in length and written in layman's language, avoiding business jargon. Hence, you can read it and learn from it as well as implement the principles in your own business and professional life. Yet another important point is that these strategies reflect the author's own experiences and successes that are tried and tested, arising out of a three-year doctoral research process. Says the author, "People do amazing things on their social profiles and businesses needs to know this fact. Some companies have already understood it and have made efforts to woo their audiences. This huge idea of networking and knowing people around the world and experiencing innumerable awesome conversations with them excites me to the fullest and gave me a magical motivation to share these experiences in the form of a book."

Simulation of damage mechanisms in weave reinforced materials based on multiscale modeling

Simulation of damage mechanisms in weave reinforced materials based on multiscale modeling PDF Author: Naake, Dominik Robert
Publisher: KIT Scientific Publishing
ISBN: 3731510057
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 304

Book Description
A weave reinforced composite material with a thermoplastic matrix is investigated by using a multiscale chain to predict the macroscopic material behavior. A large-strain framework for constitutive modeling with focus on material non-linearities, i.e. plasticity and damage is defined. The ability of the geometric and constitutive models to predict the deformation and failure behavior is demonstrated by means of selected examples.

This expansion is, of course, a direct consequence of the growing signi?cance and success of model-based methods in practice. The conferences have contributed greatly to the heightened interest in the ?eld, attracting much young talent and leading to the gradualemergence of its correspondingscienti?c and engineering foundations. The proceedings from the MODELS conferences are one of the primary references for anyone interested in a more substantive study of the domain. The 12th conference took place in Denver in the USA, October 4–9, 2009 along with numerous satellite workshops and tutorials, as well as several other related scienti?c gatherings. The conference was exceptionally fortunate to have three eminent, invited keynote speakers from industry: Stephen Mellor, Larry Constantine, and Grady Booch.

Theory and Practice of Model Transformations

Theory and Practice of Model Transformations PDF Author: Laurence Tratt
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 3642136885
Category : Computers
Languages : en
Pages : 286

Book Description
Model transformations are the glue that tie modelling activities together. If you’ve used modelling in anger then, whether you know it or not, you’ve used model transformations. They come in all shapes and sizes from moving models between di?erent tools to generating implementations. Model transformations have humble beginnings—at one point, not long ago, it was said by many ‘in the know’ that the way forward in model transformations was to use XSLT. That this idea now raises a wry smile shows how far the model transformation community has come in a short time. Where once model transformations were hacked together in a variety of unsuitable languages, we now have a number of powerful, dedicated languages and theories at our disposal. Since 2008, the ICMT conference series has played a huge part in advancing the subject, and this third edition was no di?erent. The theories and languages presented at ICMT have allowed principled model transformations to play an ever greater part in real systems. Of course there is still much more to do: we need our model transformations, languages, and theories to scale further, allow greater expressivity, be more ?exible, and aid reusability; and we lack empirically backed studies of model transformations in use. Doubtless you can think of other gaps. Yet, though some real-world challenges lie just beyond our reach,eachyearseesonce-dauntingproblemsconquered.Muchofthatprogressis nowdriven byICMT, andthis year’sedition showedhow model transformations are increasingly being used in previously unfamiliar areas.

3-D Textile Reinforcements in Composite Materials

3-D Textile Reinforcements in Composite Materials PDF Author: A Miravete
Publisher: Woodhead Publishing
ISBN: 184569192X
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 323

Book Description
Laminated composite materials have been used since the 1960s for structural applications. This first generation of materials were successful because of the materials' high stiffness and strength performance. The aims of this book are to describe the manufacturing processes, to highlight the advantages, to identify the main applications, to analyse the methods for prediction of mechanical properties and to focus on the key technical aspects of these materials in order to discover how better to exploit their characteristics and to overcome their disadvantages in relation to the laminated composite materials. This book covers many areas related to 3-D fabric textile technologies, and manufacturing is treated as a key issue. Theoretical aspects of micro- and macromechanics are covered in depth, as well as properties and behaviour. Specific techniques including braiding, stitching and knitting are described and compared in order to evaluate the most attractive configurations available at the moment. Present and future applications and trends are described to illustrate that 3-D textiles are part of the real industrial world not only today but tomorrow as well.
