A Vessel of Honour

A Vessel of Honour PDF Author: Zacharias Tanee Fomum
Publisher: ZTF Books Online
ISBN: 1370556918
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 221

Book Description
A Vessel of Honour is a heart-to-heart exposure from the Scriptures of spiritual shallowness and dryness and their catastrophic consequences in the life and ministry of a child of God. There are some trees whose roots grow or are on the surface instead of burrowing down. Such roots are shallow—they lack depth. It is understandable if a young convert is shallow but if after many years a Christian has no deep spiritual roots, then there is a problem. In what are you deep? Are you Deep in forgiving people and forgetting wrongdoing? Deep in seeking, finding, and knowing God? Deep in loving and being content in God? Deep in bearing fruits, in leading people to the Lord? Deep in building the people who are in the Lord? Deep in Christian character? The author, Z.T. Fomum, brings out clearly the differences between a shallow and a normal Christian. He pinpoints the root cause of shallowness and spiritual dryness and provides the way out. You will learn what spiritual roots are and how to intentionally develop them. Now a person may not be dry. He may be cut off from God. That is what sin does. It may look as if it is dryness, but it is godlessness—spiritual death! On this, the author makes plain—with practical advice—the absolute necessity for believers in Christ Jesus to live a sanctified and consecrated life. Get a copy and read it through. It will lead you into deep heart cultivation unto godliness and Christian service from a position of spiritual overflow.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master's use, and prepared unto every good work.2 Timothy 2:19-20 (KJV)Created By God to Be Vessels of Honor

Vessels Useful to the Lord

Vessels Useful to the Lord PDF Author: Witness Lee
Publisher: Living Stream Ministry
ISBN: 0736355715
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 189

Book Description
For those who would serve the Lord full-time, Witness Lee offers some practical fellowship concerning being useful for the work of the Lord’s recovery. Studying the truth, learning, being trained, and being filled in Spirit are all matters of importance. All of that is to equip us to speak for the Lord. “The most important thing that we who have given ourselves to work for the Lord can do is to speak for Him. Whether we are preaching the gospel, teaching the truth, ministering life, exhorting the believers, or building the church, we need to speak for the Lord. Hence, it is very important for a person who works for the Lord to study the Word.” “As ones who have come out to serve full time, you should serve in the new way ordained by God. Do not think that to serve full time is to learn to stand on a platform and give messages. This concept is wrong. In the past we could not maintain the Lord’s Day meeting without someone giving a message. However, now we are not depending on you to give messages on the platform. Rather, we want you to contact people. If you are willing to spend five years to attend as many church meetings as possible and to learn to serve, using half of every day to learn the truth and the other half to work, then the future of the Lord’s recovery will definitely be bright.”

Chosen Vessel

Chosen Vessel PDF Author: S. R. Sampson.
Publisher: WestBow Press
ISBN: 1512746398
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 122

Book Description
Let us imagine that Jesus walked among us today, really could you imagine! What lifestyle would He choose to live? Would He choose to live in splendor? Or Would Jesus exhibit simple, humble, loving servant like qualities (the Carpenter), as we know Him in our bible readings? Jesus fed the hungry, clothes the needy and was the vessel of truth. Jesus came as a vessel, chosen to set an example, to bring love, grace and redemption. Yet, Jesus has ascended and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Jesus came to introduce Gods provision; Gods plan, not to forsaken anyone, all should receive the things that are needed for daily living. God made a plan to supply all of our needs. There is a provision to take care of all humankind on the earth. Through the servant-ship of chosen vessels, a plan of survival for humankinds has been put into place. God loves, shows compassion, and gives freely, as it is Gods plan that we honor the commandment to love thy neighbor as thyself. This is only one of the two most important commandments; the first commandment is to Love God with your whole heart (to have no god before Him), and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. How does God desire that we give and share with our fellow man (neighbor)? God chose or gifted individuals with the abilities to manage substantial sums of money, and to discern the needs of others. To always give, lovingly and unconditionally, as God gives freely; desiring that as we will give freely. As we transform our lives to become more like Jesus, to give our time, talent, and resources as a part of the commitment to living in Christ. As we enter into the last days, the gift of giving will manifest, as we reach out to help families of believers and unbelievers. The last days will be a time where many will need God; spiritually, materially, physically and emotionally, and all needs should be met. As we give freely to unbelievers and believers; it will reveal Gods grace and love for all people. Humbly, all should aspire to be like Jesus, to reflect on Gods love for our fellow man and give, unconditionally? As the reference scripture reveals in Gods Word --- in Matthew 25: 45 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me. 44 They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? 45 He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these; you did not do for me.
