Inheritance of Tears

Inheritance of Tears PDF Author: Jessalyn Hutto
Publisher: Cruciform Press
ISBN: 1941114032
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 80

Book Description
When a woman becomes pregnant, miscarriage is usually the furthest thing from her mind. Such was the case for Jessalyn Hutto when she became pregnant with her first baby. But as is all too common in our post-fall world, the life she carried came to an abrupt end. Death had visited her womb, and the horrors of miscarriage had become a part of her life’s story. ••• Ultimately, she would lose two children in the womb, at 6 and 15 weeks gestation. Through these painful losses, a whole new world of suffering opened up to her. It seemed that everywhere she looked women were quietly mourning the loss of their unborn children. Yet this particular type of loss has been grossly overlooked by the church. ••• Couples navigating the unique sorrow of losing a child are often left with little biblical counsel to draw upon. Well-meaning friends and family often offer empty platitudes and Christian clichés. But what these couples truly need is the hope of the gospel. ••• Short, sensitive, and theologically robust, Inheritance of Tears offers hope and comfort to those who are called to walk through the painful trial of miscarriage, and shows pastors and church members how to effectively minister to these parents in their time of need.

Safe in the Arms of God

Safe in the Arms of God PDF Author: John F. MacArthur
Publisher: Thomas Nelson
ISBN: 1418517305
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 194

Book Description
"Is my baby in heaven?" This is the most important question a grieving parent can ask. And even if the little one is someone else's child, the issue remains: What happens to children?those unborn, stillborn, or youngsters?when they die? Can you hope to see them again? Can you let go of your fear and guilt? Can God's love soothe a wound so jagged? With scriptural authority and the warmth of a pastor's heart, bestselling author John MacArthur examines the breadth of the entire Bible and reveals in this compelling book the Heavenly Father's care for every life. "I have sat by the grave of our daughter and son and wondered out loud if my belief that Hope and Gabriel are in heaven has any solid scriptural support. John MacArthur offers truth from God's Word that puts the doubts of any grieving parent to rest. Safe in the Arms of God reveals that confidence of heaven for the child you love is based on much more than mere sentimentality; it is revealed in the Word of God and reflective of the very heart of God." ?Nancy Guthrie, author of Holding On to Hope

I'll Hold You in Heaven

I'll Hold You in Heaven PDF Author: Jack W. Hayford
Publisher: ReadHowYouWant.com
ISBN: 145962548X
Category : Family & Relationships
Languages : en
Pages : 102

Book Description
For those who have lost a child to death, Jack Hayford provides compassionate answers to troubling questions such as, What happened to my baby after it died? Will I ever see my baby again - and will I recognize him? what happens if I've had an abortion? Does God have a reason for letting my child die? God's Word shines with hope in the dark night of human pain. God showed his tenderness when David lost the child he had with Bathsheba shortly after its birth. In his pain and grief, David spoke the word of revelation - reassuring word of God's truth - saying, ''I will go to (my child) but he will not return to me'' (2 Samuel 12:19 - 23). The freeing truth of the Word of God promises that, like David, you will hold your child again in heaven.

Abortion and the Christian Tradition

Abortion and the Christian Tradition PDF Author: Margaret D. Kamitsuka
Publisher: Westminster John Knox Press
ISBN: 1611649730
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 268

Book Description
Abortion remains the most contested political issue in American life. Poll results have remained surprisingly constant over the years, with roughly equal numbers supporting and opposing it. A common perception is that abortion is contrary to Christian teaching and values. While some have challenged that perception, few have attempted a comprehensive critique and constructive counterargument on Christian ethical and theological grounds.Margaret Kamitsuka begins with a careful examination of the churchs biblical and historical record, refuting the assumption that Christianity has always condemned abortion or that it considered personhood as beginning at the moment of conception. She then offers carefully crafted ethical arguments about the pregnant womans authority to make reproductive decisions and builds a theological rationale for seeing abortion as something other than a sin.

Be My Voice

Be My Voice PDF Author: Donna Heath
Publisher: Xlibris Corporation
ISBN: 1503552705
Category : Social Science
Languages : en
Pages : 63

Book Description
This book is inspired by the Holy Spirit, for God wants us to repent of the evil that has been done toward these innocent ones and call onto him to have mercy on us all, and we should turn away from our evil and wicked ways. And then he will hear from heaven and heal our land and bless us. Our land is filled with innocent bloodshed every day, with body parts of our unborn brothers/sisters cut up, dismembered, discarded, and burnt up! Human lives, which are gifts from God, are not being appreciated but are instead broken up and sent back to him. We cannot kill the spirit of a man as only God has the power to do so. Matthew 10:28 states, And fear not them, which will kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him, which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. This is a description of God, as well as his power, who is able to do that which no man can do; all that they can do is to kill the body, but he is able to destroy (that is, to torment and punish) both the body and soul in hell.

Jesus Outside the Lines

Jesus Outside the Lines PDF Author: Scott Sauls
Publisher: Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.
ISBN: 1496403835
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 289

Book Description
Whether the issue of the day on Twitter, Facebook, or cable news is our sexuality, political divides, or the perceived conflict between faith and science, today’s media pushes each one of us into a frustrating clash between two opposing sides. Polarizing, us-against-them discussions divide us and distract us from thinking clearly and communicating lovingly with others. Scott Sauls, like many of us, is weary of the bickering and is seeking a way of truth and beauty through the conflicts. Jesus Outside the Lines presents Jesus as this way. Scott shows us how the words and actions of Jesus reveal a response that does not perpetuate the destructive fray. Jesus offers us a way forward—away from harshness, caricatures, and stereotypes. In Jesus Outside the Lines, you will experience a fresh perspective of Jesus, who will not (and should not) fit into the sides.

Mommy, I'm with Jesus

Mommy, I'm with Jesus PDF Author: Claudia Duran
Publisher: Elm Hill
ISBN: 1595558063
Category : Family & Relationships

Pages : 26

Book Description
Experiencing death and loss of an unborn baby is something we are all going to have to face at one point in our lives. There is no escape from it. Having a miscarriage isn’t shy of experiencing a loss of a life, a loved one. Despite the baby never being held or having a personality, it is still a loss. First time expectant parents experience this in a profound manner by a broken heart as if the heart is being wrung in a ringer. The desire to comfort their partner is frozen because the pain is so deep and they are also crying, unable to move as if they are so terrified they can’t make any sense of anything. This can be a very difficult time for some people especially if they have had multiple miscarriages and don’t get the compassion quiet as much as when a baby is born then passes away. Nevertheless, it is still a loss, a death that the family experiences. In the book, Mommy I am with Jesus, this is a testimony and a journey that Claudia Duran has experienced. During the initial awareness of pregnancy and feeling the excitement and the unknown is such a blessing that a baby is being formed in the mother’s womb. Parents that have had the opportunity to see or hear their baby’s heartbeat in the mother’s womb brings love, joy and understanding of the life being formed. The parents feel a sense of a deep connection to the baby and to each other. The anticipation that comes with pregnancy, yet one day, and for no apparent reason, the baby’s heartbeat suddenly stops and there is nothing that can be done about it. It is hard to believe that a heart that was once alive and beating is no more. There is no sound where there was once a racing heartbeat. Then flooding questions like where does the baby go? How does anyone get through the pain of losing a life, especially one that is unforeseen and hoped for? As stated in the bible, “If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” John 14:2 offers hope that we will be reunited once more with those we have lost. In the movie, Heaven is for Real by Randall Wallace, there is a scene where the little boy who was said to have gone to heaven then came back told his mom that he had another sister and asked why she hadn’t told him. The mom broke down crying and told her little boy they had lost a baby and didn’t know the gender which gives hope for our unborn babies. Scenes like this hit home and puts a lump in your throat. This is a silent suffering and it doesn’t discriminate regardless of age, race or cultural boundaries. The ages and races of the women who lost their unborn babies range from 20-year olds to 40 somethings. There are so many people that have experienced this but never talked, mourned, and possibly healed from the loss of their unborn babies. Many times, expectant parents want to be alone, but what happens in that alone time? Do they have someone that can comfort them in a positive manner? The intention of this book is to comfort those who have lost an unborn baby. It is written in a simplistic manner as a means for healing the wounded heart within. It is also a basic aim for families to share with one another as well as to explain to small children and give them a basic understanding of the loss, as it can be overwhelming. As the book draws from bible verses that point to how babies are formed to where we go when we die it is a simple, yet profound style.
